Funny, I'm using one of those same Nova tanks on a high dollar VV APV right now. Wanna know what it's set at? You guessed it, I should have gotten an eGo.

Busted!

You are hear-by directed to turn in your Provangelist membership card immediately. :)

For Iffy: loved your response in the noob post...

tj - not to worry. I just got my 1st Nova Vivi and using it on my Provari at 4.2 volts w/ the 2.4Ω head (which by the way meters at 2.7Ω). I figure the cost of my Vivi was only $4 not $12 since I can easily adjust the voltage to mate with any of the 3 heads (1.8Ω, 2.4Ω, 2.8Ω) and have the same vaping experience. See, I'm saving so much money on juice holders, I can afford a higher dollar PV. And I can run for hours at 4.2 volts.:vapor:

Morning! I admit to being totally lost when y'all talk about your mods

It's a learning situation...a little more intellectually challenging than analogs.
Lots of new stuff coming to the market, sort of like the other electronic stuff...buy today and tomorrow it's outdated, not quite that bad, but always something new.

GV, IMHO, is a great vendor...much of their products are vetted and now with the Alpha prog I'd expect to see improvements to those items (items in the Alpha prog). But, you know all these things, gadgets, etc. are like Apples...some folks like them and some folks don't...some like tart, I like Red Delicious!

It's just a comment...We are all learning new stuff...well most of us anyway, some of the Vets here are still several links ahead of us. I hate it when that happens, if your not the lead Dog the scenery never changes!

Mike, this is a computer question. I'm not the most computer literate on the forum so was just wondering, where I can find the ohm symbol on the keyboard?

I use a Mac, just hold down the option key and press the z key.

If you're using windows, it's a bit more tricky. I think this should work.

Lock the numeric keypad on
Hold down the alt-key
Type 234
or
Type 8486

More keyboard shortcuts for special characters can be found here. Ω can be found in math/special symbols (ohm) or greek characters (omega).

Thanks. I think that I'll stick to writing it out. We were talking about keeping things simple.

That is the old and I mean old IBM Alt codes. I did not know that windows still supported those. I have a book almost 4 inches thick with the different codes that programmers used to use to make printers type certain fonts or displays on screens to type set , etc...

I never looked at it that way but you're right, 3 different tanks at 4 bucks a piece. The only drawback is you can only use one at a time. I was going to hold off ordering any more gear for a while but with a deal like that I'm going to have to get another one. VV is a wonderful thang.

Great links y'all. Ok, so how do I strike out text on here. In an old chat room I used to go to it was <s> and </s> I looked it up and saw to type the word strike rather than the s but that didn't work here either. I've seen folks do it on ecf though. Anyone know?

Howdy y'all....hope everyone is havin a great day. Was hoping for vivi nova mail today but no such luck. Tomorrow I reckin.

Yepper, they are. Somethings never change (he he). Computers still work with 1's and 0's too.

And how about reading the holes in an 80 column hollerith card. Do you go that far back? Once upon a time that was easy for me. I knew I was becoming a computer antique when i was interviewing a new hire. I was walking him through the machine room and over in the corner was an old keypunch machine. He spotted it and said - Wow! I saw pictures of those in one of my text books.

If you click on go-advanced when writing your post, you'll get more editing options. Looks for a fancy S with a strike-line through it on the 3rd row to the right. It will generate [ S ]... [ /S ] markup-code marks (without the spaces) using square braces, so you should be able to manually edit that around the text you want to show as strike-through.
