Tiny, Janet said I didn't answer all your original questions about how to vape WTA.

Mike, thanks for the additional info. It seems most of the threads I came across talking about WTA became arguments about the benefits and negatives of WTA rather than how people use it. It seemed sort of silly for me to ask a question about dripping, but then if I hadn't asked there may have been something I wasn't aware of that could have ruined the juice during the process.

Good for you that you've developed a good relationship with the vendor, it sounds like you both benefit from it. Thanks again and thank Janet for me too.

Well I ordered two Minis,a satin/blue for the wife and black/blue for myself. Was sitting at the puter, from 3:30 E.S.T. hitting refresh every couple minutes. At 3:57 black showed up.
It was a little coin. But to rationalize the price,I would of spent that much on smokes for the wife and I in a month.
I'm sure we'll both enjoy them for a long time.

That was the reasoning I used too. We spent so much on cigarettes when we were smoking, there is no reason why should we skimp on buying quality equipment to help us get away from smoking.

In the future this will make anything else we buy seem less expensive, unless you want a Darwin. :)

Nice Ride!

Yeah, but where does the drip tip go??

Good Mornin' all y'all. "....raining all over the world" I believe it rained all night and it's coming down hard right now. Too wet to plow so I'll study vaping :vapor:

I'm happy to report that almost 3 months off the cigarettes has really made a difference in how I feel. I layed landscape fabric and mulched a bunch of new trees yesterday and realized how much more stamina I have. It still ain't a lot but I'm not huffin' and puffin' like I was. Even thinking about getting out that bicycle I just had to have a couple yrs. ago.

Like so many addictions, cigarettes keep us in a place that won't let us see how much better life can be without them. I wish all of you contined success on your journey away from the evil weeds.

I didn't mean to imply using a carto would ruin the juice w/ respect to me dripping. Regardless of the juice I prefer dripping over a carto, plus I'm stingy and don't like to waste any of the WTA left in a carto when it stop performing well. Janet uses a Phoenix and enjoys it just fine that way.

If WTA is as good as I hope it is I will probably treat it like liquid gold. I agree that dripping will get the most out of any juice so that is how I was planning on using it. I just wanted to make sure that dripping wouldn't mess up the alkaloids, I wouldn't think it would but I didn't want to make that assumption.

For Sale - used fly fishing reels. I ran out of being able to rationalize buying new toys based on what I was spending on smoking. So, I've got to sell off some gear I no longer use to pay for a new black & blue mini to go along with these.

I have been following this subject with great interest. Not for me but for my husband. I am at my wits end. Seems like I have tried everything for him. I know he wants to do this but no matter what we do it still bothers, and most of the time really bothers his throat. He says it feels dry and burnt. I think I have finally convinced him to sip instead of trying to draw it all in like he did with cigs.

Tried all % of pg/vg. all the way to 100% of each. He will only vape unflavored so flavoring isn't the problem. He seems to think it is the nic itself so has me mix it down to almost none. He has even vaped straight vg but without the nic he still has to have his cigs.

I would like to try the WTA but it is so expensive and if it still bothers his throat then it will be one more thing I have wasted money on. At first we thought it might be the filler material in the cartos so I was on the hunt for fillerless cartos. Have tried several different kinds. Right now we are both using and enjoying the CE3's from DV. He is liking these because of the cooler vape. I have his juice down to 12% nic. I know that is the reason he is still craving his cigs but he wants me to go even lower. :(

I know all of y'all don't have all the answers but there is no one else I can talk to about all of t:facepalm:his. I know a person really has to want this to work and I feel like he does. I just want to do all I can to help him do it. I wish it had been as easy for him as it has been for me. I wish I could get him interested in coming in here and talking to all of y'all. Ok, that is 2 wishes. Think I will save the last one for later. :p

Also, cooler vapes makes for less throat irritation - lower voltage, higher ohms, thinner juice (distilled water - minute amount). Try one at a time until you get what he needs. If you do all at once and it is worse then you do not know what the problem is and if it works you want to know what worked the best and then you work from there...

I was looking at the Zenesis, but wanted a ProVari. Got on the notify for the Z-Atty-Pro when those are ready.

Lots of folks have some throat irritation when they start vaping, and it usually goes away in a short time. I know I did. How long did he try it with vaping? Maybe he's trying to vape like he smokes. I had to give my Hubby vaping lessons.

This has been going on for at least 5 months. During that time he has only bought 6 pks of smokes so is doing pretty good. We are just trying everything we can think of to get past the throat issues. I have tried to show him how to vape but he is hardheaded. He is getting better though. I am trying to get him to sip, not gulp.

Actually we have done all that to. Each time I make a change I mix it in a 5ml bottle and label it with what is in it. I am at a loss as to what else to do. Right now he is @ 12mg 80vg/20pg but I have gone from the top to the bottom of the scale during the past 5 months.

I found adding a little drop or 2 of lemon juice in the 555 and a drop or 2 of distilled water made a difference. At first my throat that I had a hot cigr I was pulling in. The lemon and water, lowered the nic a little but let my throat me happy. Morning all

I have even tried that elbert. Thank you. BTW: I am so proud of you. Your vaping journey seems to be on the right track.

There are a couple of threads regarding using biotene to help with mouth and throat dryness, as well as taste. Apparently it comes in gum, mouthwash, and a mouth/throat spray.

I have added that to my next shopping trip. At least it is one thing I haven't tried yet. Thank you Harley.

Oh my, that's a big one. You don't mess around do you. That Zenesis looks like an interesting piece of equipment, I've never heard of it before. I'm going to do some investigating into that one.

After smoking 40+ years, my wife and I went to vaping in February 2011, so 1 year 4 months now. I smoked less than a pack a day but J (my wife) smoked 2+ packs of full strenght 120 Saratogas. We were turned on to vaping by a couple 25 years younger who were pretty heavy smokers before they switched. Thanks to them we haven't touched an analog since we started vaping. In gratitude I hope it's OK to give them a plug here. They went on to operate VapinInTheCape.com.

We started out with a the little disposable ecigs then upgraded to the Leo Boge. We moved from tobacco flavors originally to trying all kinds of eliquids--thanks to sampler packs. My regulars are peach and pineapple. J vapes all varieties of chocolate and coffee. We would never go back. Our health wasn't noticeably bad, but J's blood pressure dropped to normal almost immediately so no more meds for that.

I wish every smoker I know would try vaping. I can't say enough good about it and also can't imagine giving it a go and ever going back to analog cigarettes.

Congratulations on your success! It sure helps to get started with somebody around to help you. I've tried to help a few people get started via emails and it's really hard, especially if they're alone.
