Older Folks and Vaping

I was able to get that self tapping saddle valve 1/4".

I was thinking about getting one also but from what I have read they get dull pretty quick and can deform your carto.

HERE's my experience with carto punches (post #12) plus a neat lil' HINT (post #30) for hole alignment.

Thanks Tx. Are you getting any better flavor from the mini than the reg size? I get pretty great flavor from the bigger one and I really like the size of the bigger one, so haven't tried a mini yet.

I did try some MBV juices, and wow, really hoping these improve. There was no flavor hardly out of the box, and I got an extra flavor shot. One seems to be getting a bit better after close to a week. One I haven't tried yet. I really want these to be good, and if they really need a lot of steeping, it would still be worth it for the price, but I've not had anything from anywhere else yet that I couldn't vape right away even if it did get better with steeping. I'll give it some more time and see how it is, but really not impressed as of right now. And I was really hoping I would be.

They vape about the same for me. I'm not really a flavor expert being as I vape mostly menthol and various tobacco flavors so as long as they aren't dry or burnt hits I'm good.

I got my vape mail today, YAY. Just now got done working for the day and made a teeny "batch" of blackberry. Dripping to test it and loving it

I'm gonna have to break that lemonade open and see if I made a booboo going that way. Probably shoulda got the lemon sicily. It was hot in the house when I was playing with taking things in and out of my cart...the lemonade sounded good LOL. We shall see

Iffy, JJ, Kat and Harley, thanks for your help with the needle tips. ( I knew I'd get help I needed if I just posted the question here! ) I googled them (should have done that to begin with!) and you're right, there's tons of places to get them. Looks like ecigexpress has the 10 mil and 30 mil bottles with the blue needle tips with caps for $ .89. Turns out some places will sell you the tops, but you have to buy their bottle of juice to get the bottle. I'm not doing DIY, I'm just lazy and want an easier way to fill my vivi novas!

I have a friend who is disabled and on a very tight budget. I turned her on to vaping (got her off the cigs) and do most of her ordering for her. We are always looking for a "deal" because of her budget. Last time she needed some juice....altcig was having a 30% off sale, so we ordered juice for her. We did MBV the time before....but I have to say the altcig juices were way better, and tasted great right out of the mailbox. I will definitely be giving them a try when I get short on juice. She usually has sales around holidays...so may be having one this weekend.

I tried Walgreen too....no go. I think Mike's picture said CVS.....will check that out today.

Hint - I found it in the 1st aide section of CVS. The store person didn't even know they carried it. When I asked about cotton gauze the only item they knew about were the cotton balls in the cosmetic section.

Good to see you Deb! Which flavors did you get - who are the troubled "kids"?
On the Menthol I did like Muldemar: 24 mg nic and 5 shots flavor - allows for tweaking / cutting etc. Even cut in half w/ 50/50 pg/vg - I'm just not too wild about the Extreme Ice. Not sure how far I cut that and still taste Wintergreen ... ok at first but like the Spearmint and Cherry - small, occasional doses. now the straight Menthol w/ 5 shots cut 50/50: Wow! That I love! I have a Light Blue Clearo (color coding) of just menthol! The Dark Blue is the BlueBerry!

I thot straight from the mailbox the butterscotch (Yellow Clearo) had great flavor - 24 nic 5 shots as well. Ha! I guess that would become 2.5 extra shots of flavor at 12 mg!

The Caramel Apple freebie @ 12 mg no extra flavor was really good. I also tried it with a couple drops of Sweet Cream (done like the menthols) in12-14 drops Apple was really good. My "boo hoo" moment came yesterday when i realized my pretty green Clearomizer with the Apple had cracked. That I KNOW was only 7 days old - not dropped in my possession - used maybe 2 hours max per day ...

So, not a happy camper on that score. Good news - so far have NOT had a problem with the BlueBerry one.

I personally don't like the Vivi. I have a mini and to me it mutes the flavor of my juice. I haven't noticed color change though.

What do you use that gives you the full flavor? I have been using the G6 & cartos for a year now. I got a new VV battery yesterday with some clearomizers and the taste isnt as good. My vivi nova came in today and I was hoping the flavor would be better than the clearos and on par with the cartos.

And Mike, I cut up a sterile gauze pad to get a little strip of cotton to use in the Vivi Nova.
As I said it might be in my head, but I think it has improved the wick process!!

Kat, sorry to hear about your cracked clearo. I've put over 30mls of caramel apple through one of mine. The wicks are pretty stained, may need a new head soon, but otherwise it's fine.

Edit:mine was a replaceable stardust from GV and my caramel apple was from someone other than yours. So many variables with all these things.
