I have a big trash can next to my desk and I shake 'em like a thermometer. I think it's condensation as much as anything. I've used a T3 constantly for 5 days without any gurgling or leaking....hurrayyyyy!! And I bought 10 units and 20 coils in the recent coop. Should be good for awhile. :vapor:

Thanks Bacsi. I'm gonna go look at that co-op Tex posted about. How do the T3's compare in flavor to the T2's?

I've not used them yet but it would surprise me if they couldn't be. Seems like I read somewhere that you can remove the center post with a bit of effort to get to the coil.

WHOA... would like to see that thread!

I've been rinsing and dry burning 'em. For me, they seem to get very funky (hot burns) pretty quickly. I'm finding I have to R&DB after just a couple of fills.

Iffy do you take the T3 head apart to clean/dryburn? Just trying to picture in my mind how the cleaning of one of those would be done. That's one really great thing about T2's - even I can clean em hehe.

I use DIY menthol/mint juice and I think the flavor with the T3 is "clearer" and they vape cooler for me...I'm a heavy vaper when I'm vaping. I haven't cleaned any T3 coils yet but will probably try what works well for the T2's. Soak in denatured alcohol then rinse under hot tap water...shake dry and put in window to sun dry. I may also try compressed air to see what happens.

I took apart a T3 coil that wouldn't work and there seemed to be two "wicks". One was thru the coil and the other layed on top and looked to have a gooey supstance on it. That may have been residue from my juice. Anyway, if you pull the post, be careful until you see how they're constructed. Also, because of this overlay, you won't be able to see the coil when dry burning.

Thanks so much for telling us. I've decided I'll stick with the T2's because I can easily clean the heads and they last so long. I also tried the "thermometer shake" to get rid of the gurgle. It's quicker than what I was doing and works just as well. I'm happy again! TY :vapor:

I wish I could remember where I read it. I am almost positive it was the T-3 I read about though. I know it said that the tube is pressed in really tight so it is hard to get them apart but that it can be done. I know I will have to try it once I get some and they need cleaning.

Yes you can remove the center post by wiggling back and forth while pulling. They snap back in real good with a little effort. I've only dryburned one that way but it was fairly easy to do.

Not all good rebuilds are successful. So I got some Kanthal 28 gauge. (Yike's this stuff is thick enough you could use it for bailing wire to hold up a saggin' tail pipe on your buggy). So instead of ripping apart my Geny to try it, I went with a Vivi Nova head.

I used 7 wraps and my ohm meter showed it at 1.6 ohms. Added 6 strands of Aunty Lydia's bamboo crocheting thread with some wraped around the legs to keep 'em cool (instead of twisted legs, the 28 is too thick to twist and squash in the gromets). It was looking real promising.

Here's what it looked like compared to a stock wick/coil I took out.

So I assembled the head, loaded it with juice, put it on the PV, set the PV to 3.7 volts, and took a vape. Holy batman, lots of very warm almost hot vapor. Not dry hit vapor just really really warm. What the heck? I had to go down to 3.0-3.3 volts before the juice started tasting right.

Checked the ohms using the Provari and it read .9 ohms. What the heck, the coil metered at 1.6 ohms before I assembled it. Did I short it out during assembly? Then it hit me! Stupid! Stupid! I forgot to subtract the internal resistance of my meter when I measure the unassembled coil. My meter's internal is .5-.6 ohms. I really did build a .9 ohm coil.

Oh well, all was not lost - I reloaded some of Iffy's Green Apple Pie and had a hot apple pie vape.

It is ok for the price I payed for it but the 14500 batteries I have don't last very long at all. I would be disappointed if I payed regular price for it. I'm going to get a couple of better batteries and see if it will be a little better.

Hey Tex, there's another co-op offering the Rider Robust and I was pretty interested in getting one, maybe Mike too. Like you said, it seemed to fit the bill for what I was looking for. You said the batteries didn't last very long - what do you mean by that? I currently use the 650 eGo's - how do the 14500 batteries compare to those? What do you think of the vape from the Riders?

Yeah, if you answer before seeing what else is posted you feel stupid when you discover it's already been thoroughly been discussed. I've often scrolled ahead and then forgot what I originally wanted to say. It's OK, we're all pretty forgiving of our seemingly stupid moves - nobody thinks you're loosing it.
