Let me clarify my off the hip statement. If you keep your operating system up to date with all the latest patches and are running a decent virus software which is up to date, most all attempts to download something dangerous will be met with a warning first. Also most good virus software will scan the individual download immediately for issues. Keep in mind most companies update their virus definitions DAILY as new threats pop up.
Sure is a shame we have to deal with an environment such as this but it is not going away. You just have to prepare yourself as much as you can. Me...I do full system backups every other day to two different locations, so if I do get stung I can roll back everything to before the incident.

Or just run a Linux based os .....then open the virus find the maker and poke fun at them.......lol

I don't know how to run a Linux os, but I'd like to do more than poke fun at the makers of any virus! I don't get it. Why run something to infuriate people when you can't even see their reaction. They just hit launch and sit back and - what? Just imagine reactions?

Ordered VAMO on Monday and rec'd it this AM. Unfortunately, it won't fire. It does everything it's supposed to do except work...lol.

When I push the button it shuts itself off. I suspect a short but I will wait to hear from the vendor. :(

FWIW, it is very well made and surprisingly heavy. Of course, at this point, it's a very well made, heavy paper weight. :vapor:

Edit to add: It works (BOY, does it work) with 18650 battery. I wonder if my 18350's being protected has something to do with it.

Sorry to hear you are having problem with it. Mine should get mine today. Have you checked the Vamo thread to see if anyone else has had that problem?

Two possibilities.
1) Do you have the version with the red ring inside up at the positive connector? This was added to prevent shorts up there.
2) Now take a peek up there again. Notice how the positive connector on the circuit board is not in the actual center of the tube? Now look at the positive end of your battery with issues. Does it have a small diameter positive post? These positive ends vary from one manufacturer to the next. If you have a battery with a tiny positive nipple, that is causing your issue. I ran into the same thing. It would work occassionally with a proper jiggle to make contact, but that's all. You'll need to use batteries with a wider positive pole.
Hope this helps. Other than these two issues, this is the best working device I have had so far. We'll see how the evic compares in a few weeks.

I discovered that my 18650 batts are IMR and my 18350's are not. The first response I got from the vendor said it won't work with some batteries. I supspect that means non-IMR protected ones.

My + post up inside is dead center and about 0.2" in diameter. There is a paper? donut outboard of this as an insulator. I ordered some IMR 18350's and we'll see what happens.

Forgive me if I'm out of bounds with this one; Since this is one of the most popular and active threads at ECF I'd like to ask for some opinions about the Vendors who serve the vaping community. I've started another thread in this forum entitled "The Un-Official E-Cigarette Entrprise of the Year Poll." This is NOT a 'My Favorite Juice' poll. I've asked for opinions in five areas: Juices, Equipment, Availibility, Customer Service and Best Overall. The motive is to get a better idea (i.e. learn) about the various enterprises we buy from and support with our buisiness. If I am wrong for 'hawking' another thread here, feel free to call me names but after 28 years of marrige my wife is actually pretty good at that sort of thing. Anyways, if you can offer your opinions it would be appreciated, thanks.

My impressions of the VAMO variable volt, variable watt, multi size MOD. This mod will work with one or 2-18350 or 1-18650 batteries. I intend to use it mostly with 1-18350 but it will not work with non-IMR protected batteries, which is all I have. I have orderded IMR batteries.

My 18650's are IMR (Panasonic) and the mod works with these. Learning to use it with a Kanger T3 (2.5 ohms), I got a lot of dry hits until I got it dialed in. I am currently using it in power mode and it's set at 6 watts. It produces so much vapor that I had to reverse the silicone seal that partially shields the wicks in the T3. This allowed enough juice to flow to keep up with this beast.

In addition to volts and watts, the delivery mode is switchable between AVG or RMS. So far, I find RMS to be the best for me. I have vaped about 5 ml so far and the battery read 4.2 volts when I started, It currently reads 4.0 volts. I take that to mean I'll get pretty good battery life even though this thing delivers more vapor than my other mods.

It's BIG and HEAVY. With the 18650 battery it's about 5.5" long (8.5" with the T3) and almost 7/8" in diameter. My 50 y/o kitchen scale puts it at 7 oz. with a T3 and battery installed. The fit and finish is excellent. Very smooth an even the black chrome is shiny. I prefer a less slippery surface but I plan to use this only at my desk or when driving so the chances of dropping it are lessened.

I'm not sure all the technical doodads are necessary for me but there's no doubt in my mind that something elevates the performance of this mod over my others (XL3 and Ovale). I like to take long, slow pulls and see and feel lost of vapor and this mod delivers without breaking a sweat. :vapor:

I'm with ya Bob. I am loving mine so far . I only use it in power mode also and i keep mine right around 6.5w. i haven't had that problem with the T3's but i use 50/50 juice(not know what yours is). In fact i just ordered 2 more T3's to go with it. I do find it a bit harder to hide in the pocket than the twist i was using tho. But overall i find it to be well made and reliable so far.

Nice to hear positive things about the Vamo. I've got one coming. The weight doesn't concern me, I'm used to a heavy PV. As to the protected batts not working w/ them. That's the case with many PV's that have on-board electronic protection built into their circuits. The batt's circuity and PV circuitry get confused - it's not recommended to use protected batts for that reason.

It is good to hear they are working good and for the price are hard to beat. Mine should be here today and I'm curious to how it compares to my Smok ZMax.
