Well, in celebration, I pre-ordered my Apocalypse PV (mechanical, telescopic and all metal)...

med-img-20-3_s_.jpg

OK, that should do it till next year...

Looks nice. You people and your enabling!

Tough looking PV though, I bet if a mountain lion came at you, you could kill it.

KPT UPDATE: In my case, maybe KPT stands for kaput! After a third tank refill, I'm not enjoying the flav loss and the inability to chain vape without da subtle dry hits.

I ever so much wanted this puppy to dazzle my taste buds. The vapor production is remarkable vs. my past clearo evaluations. Alas, I WILL NOT settle for any semblance to a dry or near dry hit!

I envy all ya'll that are pleased with da KPT! Maybe I'm too spoiled with what works for me consistently without modifications.
It's probably as hard for you to switch horses midstream as it would be for me to entertain the idea of using anything except a clearo even though I haven't tried anything else. The ONLY reason I'd consider something different is that when I had even less of a grip on what's going on than I do now, I bought a $3.50 stainless steel drip tip that was made for 510 devices that won't fit on anything I have.

I don't remember what kind of devices you use. I know I wouldn't be nearly as happy with the Protank if I was running it at 3.7V. It comes alive for me in the 4.1 to 4.4V area. Have you tried changing out the coil to see if it's died young?

Believe me, I have two 9" x 14" containers filled with my quests for da 'holy grail' of joose devices (carts/cartos/clearos/tanks). I really do enjoy trying da 'latest & greatest'. But I only have one more spare container!

I find myself falling back on my SMOK LR DCTs.

As for your voltage sweet spot, that's directly related to the ohmage of your coil(s). And yes, I tried both the KPT 2.4Ω and 1.8Ω heads on both VV and VW PVs.

I have no issues with switching vaping horses, even midstream. But if that new horse can't swim, guess what...

Ocean Breeze must be a secrete recipe. They say... "This is a Tropical Based vape that will satisfy your taste buds."
I can taste coconut in it and pineapple... And maybe some mango? Definitely a third flavor hidden in there. All around it's a good vape.
I made some of the wild cherry and will try it tomorrow and let you know how it turned out. :D

Wow, a wild cherry would make me happy. I tried doing some myself and just couldn't get it right. I like the real cherry flavor rather than the candy type. I'll be interested if you make a wild cherry that works!

Hello Everyone!

I am 2 weeks into being a vaper rather than a smoker.:)

I am fast pushing 50 years old and smoked since I was 17 with a few breaks in there of 1-18 months since I was sort of on that quit come back rollercoaster.

On the advice of some friends on a gaming forum of all places I got an ego-C starter kit and a selection of juices.

I can honestly say I have not touched an analog since the first vape on my ego-c. Oh I still have habits to deal with like fishing in my pocket for a lighter that is not there, but it really has been shockingly easy to walk away from analogs.

I just got a SmokTech Redux CE5 eGO clearomizer in the mail today and I have to say I LOVE the thing. I am not completely sure why it is so different from the tank thingys that came with my ego-C but it just gives so much better flavor and "feels" better to me. Yeah I know that isn't proper terminology but I don't know how else to say it. Also I love that it holds more which is why I ordered it in the first place. If anyone can sort out what makes it so different I would appreciate it. Might help me knowing what to buy going forward.

Anyways I wanted to check in here having read the first 50 pages and say hello and let you all know how much reading your information has helped me sort out some of the confusing things as a new vaper.

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping! No problem with how your device feels to you - that's exactly what you're looking for! We all find what "feels" best to us. There's no right or wrong, we're all different. The problem is we find what feels better and then SOMEBODY around here will find something new and bingo! we're off to the next best thing! I think the trick is finding that first device that works for you that allows you to enjoy vaping. After that, it's up to you and your cc!

I think a lot of us look for something that holds more juice that the small devices we start with. Bottom coil, clearos, cartos, they're all different and you just have to find what you personally like. Just don't spend a fortune on something before checking it out with people. That's one of the things this thread is good for. There's so many people here who can give feedback on just about anything you might find. I went from the kr808s to the eGos with different clearos, but never used the eGo-C's. I think you're on the right track though. Just enjoy them for now while you look around. I'm currently using the Rider Robusts with mini vivi novas and tanks with Fusion cartos in them, but there's loads of other juice delivery systems to try on your eGos.

Drat those dry hits! I kept having that problem with T3 til I rewicked it.

Ya know Iffy...I've read where some folks say that the Evod heads worked better for them on the ProTank. Do you have any of those on hand to try on it?

I still haven't gotten a KPT...but my resistance is waning. It sure helps to hear something that isn't a rave about it. :)

I'm frustrated right now.

I've recently bought a Rider Robust and a Bolt. I didn't have any 18500 or 14500 IMR's when I bought the mods. Well, I finally got the batteries for them. Yay, right? No!

The Bolt won't fire because it has paint on the threads. So now I have to patiently wait until I can find a way to get the paint off the threads without damaging the pretty red paint job on the mod.

The Rider Robust is doing a little better. A lot of power in a little device. But, why does it make that airy sound when I draw on it?

Just a comment on what is called a "beauty ring" that is included with a Kanger Protank: according to the blurb that accompanies most Protank descriptions, the beauty ring is for optional use when attaching the Protank to Ego/510 battery connectors.

In reality, the so-called beauty ring is more than just a decoration. It provides stability and bracing. It prevents sideways stress on the Ego battery connector when the Protank is attached. It would be more accurate to call it an aesthetic brace or a stabilizer than to call it a beauty ring.

Once I get the adjustable airflow ring for the eGo, I will let you know if it works. the KPT has great vapor, and the throat hit is almost nil. These are good points for me. The reduction of flavor is not. I have mine cleaned up and waiting for the device.

Ditto here!
My first attempt was a bit strong! this flavor, at least from MBV is very strong. I've cut the juice in half and now it tastes very good, if a bit stronger than normal. for my next attempt, I'm going to try .3 ml of the flavoring but I do recommend it for people who like wild cherry.

Paint on the Bolt threads? That's not right. I think I'd return it for a replacement.

As far as the airy draw on the Rider - that comes from whatever is holding your juice. I've got several different kinds and they all have an airy noise even on my Provari.

I'm with Janet return for replacement. QC appears to be dead anymore!

2.5 weeks into being a vaper and not a smoker I am finding I really hate the little tanks that came with my ego-c kit. They leak, they are small, and the end caps are virtually impossible for me to remove. So I tried the replacement silicone caps and found them to be easier to remove to fill the tank but hard to get the hole right for the atomizer spike to go through which leads to either no juice flow or leaking. Also the silica one seem to give my juice a funcky taste I am not loving.

Next step I picked of a redux clearomizer (CE5 type) and love the thing but I have read that because of what it is made of some juices can destroy it. :p

People were telling me that ViVi nova tanks are nice and there is one that is metal so no melting tanks but then I saw a Grimm Green video where he said it shorted out his battery. Given that I do not have a battery mod that has the safety protections built in (I only have my ego-c batteries) I am hesitant to risk the ViVi nova.

So then someone mentioned this tank to me 3ml Polypropylene Tank . But I am clueless how these things work. Some videos on tanks that use cartomizers talk about having to punch holes even when the carto says prepunched. Color me clueless. Also is it going to be big enough to risk the connector on my battery? Is this a viable option for a larger capacity that can take pretty much all juices?

I am so confused at this point.

One more thing. Living in the gulf coast hurricanes are a part of life and the power failures that go with them. I have been doing some homework on big battery mods. My thought process is that I could charge 4-6 big batteries before the storm and not have to worry if the power goes out for 3-4 days. The mod that seems most interesting to me given price and features is the Vamo. Do any of you have any input on this mod?

As a NOOB, I ordered tanks from IBTANKED.COM. They are fairly simple to use. Thread about them here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...s-forum/339809-do-you-fiddle-your-thingy.html. Buy cartos according to the size tank you buy. I DO recommend buying pre-punched cartos as I killed 2 ego batteries w/ cartos I incorrectly punched myself. But then I am not good at DIY!
I also have the VAMO. It's my only bigger MOD. AND I like it ALOT. Howev, I often drain the batteries cuz I forget to turn the darn thing off. Important to remember to do!

Welcome to our little group, I can't speak for the Vamo but I can on tanks. I just keep going back to my carto tanks. And to save you money, I suggest glass tanks, that way you don't have to worry about what juice you use. I get mine from IBTanked they have a quality product and price. here is their link https://www.ibtanked.com/kits/complete-tanks this is a good set up to start for $25. I like the XL.
Always get pre punched carto's much easier that way. They also have extra carto's you may want to grab some. All so Phil B. has great reviews and Videos on how to fill a tank. His website is (taste your juice) any question we are here to help!
