So you are saying the FDA is so dumb they can't visit joyetech, Evolve, eleaf, etc and see for themself is a new update has been released?
The FDA is evil NOT STUPID.
They can visit Evolv. But the rest are based in China. Good luck trying to enforce an US laws or regulations there.

I am well past the legal age and worked hard to earn my own money. I have read the regs and have seen the past successful efforts by our government to impose their will and regulate how I run my life. I am stocked up. I may have made a few bad decisions in my life but this ain't one of them.
My confidence in the benevolence of fed and state officials to do the right thing is pegged at zero. My confidence that the same officials will fail to put a full court press on enforcement soon
is also at zero.
Don't want to stockpile? Then don't.
Want to ensure your ability to vape as you want, what you want, when you want, stockup. The only certainty this situation allows for that is now.

Anything that can change the result of a vpaing product requires a new PMTA.
Software is specifically mentioned. They will want test results to either prove it did not change the vaping results or to approve the new results.
Technically a vape shop installing a coil in an RTA or RDA requires a PMTA.

Yep, Vaping will be going Underground.
The Genie has been released, no matter what they do they won't be able to put it back in the bottle.

The inevitable result of deeming, should any open system device actually gain approval, will be the end of software updates. Even safety related updates.
Nah. The Chinese will keep publishing.

Oh, and I were Evolv, and the FDA regs ended up putting me out of business, the final thing I would do just before I pulled the plug is to publish my source code and board schematics under a GPL-like license. Regulate that, FDA!

Some people sure have a lot of confidence in the FDA, a Government agency to actually accomplish something.

This is the same Government that interviewed the Orlando shooter 3 times in 2 years and decided he wasn't terrorist enough. (Not to mention the 911 guys, Shoe Bomber and Boston Bombers they all had turned over to them, then let them go to kill.)

The FDA can't keep our FOOD safe, and they got a Vape Squadron to send to China?

Government agencies tend to go after the wrong things, usually because of political self interest groups. For instance, in the war against drugs the government wasted too much money and resources on that herbal "gateway drug" which allowed the real nasty drugs to proliferate out of control. If you know the history, you're aware that a single government man's special interest and propaganda program was the reason this substance was banned.

Generations later, now that gateway stuff isn't considered to be that dangerous and is actually legal in some states, and is likely to have some medicinal benefits for some medical disorders. But for years scientists couldn't study it because of the ban. What a shame.

If the government was sincerely interested in harm reduction, they would have banned tobacco twenty years ago. But that wouldn't have made financial or political sense because of the money that's involved. As always, follow the money and you'll find the answer.

Just remember that we need a judicial injunction before August. Otherwise, after that e-cigs ARE a tobacco product. And, IMO that is really all the FDA wants.
After e-cigs become a tobacco product they are pretty much free to do as they wish.

I don't see how people can't understand this. No matter what happens with pmtas as it now stands in the deeming. This point is clear as day...AS OF AUGUST 9th, ECIGARETTES AND JUICE ARE TOBACCO PRODUCTS. Even if by some lucky chance the Bishop-Cole amendment gets passed to move up the grandfather date the fact will still stand...ECIGARETTES AND THEIR JUICE ARE TOBACCO PRODUCTS. I am more than certain that states are going to jump all over this to tax to oblivion and back. Making vaping even more expensive than cigarettes. Think about some cigalikes...the companies claim one is equal to how many cigarettes? Think of how that will be taxed. Think of how much every ml will be taxed. It will cost more than double that it is right now. Imagine if you will how much taxes will be added to a liter of 100mg.

Don't they state that if a vape shop installs a coil they are a tobacco manufacturer?

Know your enemy. Do not underestimate your enemy.
Exactly! Thats why i prep.

By the way did yoy know President Obama issued an executive order giving first responders the right to confiscate all the food but enough for 72 hours belonging to preppers.

Thats why i have most of my preps in buried caches around the Catalina foothills

Don't forget there are still some in the US. Provape and ReoMods to name two.
I have no idea what Provape plans to so. Based on their "Sale" pricing of late, I'm guessing they expect to fold.

REO's Rob announced he was going to go into "semi retirement" not that long before the Dooming regs were finally published. His site is still up, he'll still sell you what he has in stock, and he's still doing repairs, but for how long that will remain the case is far from certain. My guess is, not past August of 2018.

That's actually a pretty good analogy. I wonder how much correlation there is between people (like me!) who prefer to drive sticks and people who like squonk mods.

Oh, and like stick, a squonker setup is easier/cheaper to maintain than than those fancy "automatic" tanks. :D
I hate to think how many transmissions I stripped the gears in.........

There you go with that common sense nonsense. Need to get a handle on that!

Yep. It is beyond insane and people need to wake the hell up. I'm hoping now with the crazy over reach the fda is doing, that it will open some people's eyes to how the government is taking away personal freedoms as fast as a fire takes over a forest.
