I have been struggling with quitting for 10 years. I keep relapsing and find it embarassing to say the least, each time I have to admit to my doctor/wife/etc....now, finally (although in the process of the above, I have been able to get down to about 1-2 packs a week), I have given up the analogs. I had one cigarette a couple days after I started vaping, and it sucked....Any newbies out there (I am one too), try the different flavors. Oh, and if you don't know RY4 is like caramel tobacco!!! took me forever to figure that out. Wish these things would be more mainstream. Hope the suppliers become rich with all the analog converts.

I quit smoking with my e-cig. Only been smoking for around 13-14 years, but I tried quitting cold turkey, herbal cigs, snus, and nic gum. None of those worked and I always had cravings for a cigarette. With the e-cig I have had no cravings for analogs.

Plus e-cigs are more convenient, taste better, are less harmful, I don't always smell like smoke anymore, and they're cheaper.

I quit analogues the day I picked up my first e-cigarette (the infamous 4081) and haven't touched them since. Now I have eight 510s, two 801s and that old 4081. I don't have the least desire to go back to analogues whatsoever. I feel way better, my heart rate is back down to normal, I have a ton more stamina, I can SMELL again and I don't smell like burning leafs. Assuming we're right and the e-cigarettes represent only a fraction of the health risk of traditionals, I'm very happy about making the switch.

Got my 1st e-cig in march or so to see if it works like the news article said, and saw the potential of them. Punished myself by smoking analogs as normal (2-3 packs a day) for a few more months while stocking up on supplies once I learned (quickly) they were to maybe be banned. Now I am not looking back since june 6th and can comfortable vape for a good while b4 running out of supplies . The only smoke I take in is 2nd hand smoke, and I avoid that nasty 2nd hand if possible too.

Smoked for 44 years, 40-50 a day. Tried everything to quit. Told my doctor about electronic cigarettes and said I wanted to give them a try. She told me go ahead, can't be any worse than cigarettes. I have COPD, high blood pressure and diabetes. I quit smoking May 1, 2009 and it's the best I have felt in many years. I CAN BREATHE!!!
