Dam that sucks. I have read a couple people saying that they don't need to tip as they have their fill hole screw in place. U know emonty we where there when the line was dropped. I couldn't deal with the juice and inconsistent vape so I dropped genis all together, lately, thanks to Rick, I've been revisiting. Even though I'm using the cheaper gear I'm still getting a real good vape. But I'm not too comfortable leaving the fill hole uncapped. If I can just figure that out ill be fully satisfied and drop all my other gear lol.

Idea, dot know if it's been done already, get the fill hole screw from the aga, drill it through to .084" My minor on the screw is .094 after this is drilled I put screw in but not threaded all the way down, leave about 3mm between top of screw and floor of atty, would this help a bit on the leaking side of things? Not a complete seal but make it a bit harder for it to seep out? Thoughts
Urq, surface tension can be your friend and still leave breathability. I'm still satisfied with my classic setup genis. Fill hole plugged, very nice wicking and no tipping past 2 o'clock angles.
To see what the fuss with a 1mm vent hole was about, I tried one and it leaked all over in 5 mins, got rid of it quickly.

So It should be fine I would just need to adjust my ohms to the feed it gives me?
I overshot with .082 lol Gould have done it in the .070s wiped out first two threads but still screwed on and gave it a couple of puffs good as far as the wicking it's laying on its side now lets see

After five minutes there is some minor leaking, I was thinking would a 2mm ss tube pressed into the screw that goes down into the tank provide any help if any? Or would it just be a blowback if juice into the chamber? Sorry if I'm in the wrong section
I always keep the fill hole plug in. My ZAP I have a small piece of loosely rolled mesh plugging the fill hole. Same for the Cobra. I roll solid wicks 80 to 100mm with 500 mesh. I make sure there is a little gap around the wick to prevent vacuum issues.The only atty I have a dry hit issue with is the Cobra. I just got it so still tweaking to see what works with it.
I will try all of the suggestions, I really want this to work for me as I am enjoying the vape greatly

not about your leaking issue but looking at your coils I see that the bottom one is not being used and that there is quite a gap between your wick hole and mesh. First factor will create not an optimal distribution of the heat, second issue will make it leak much easier then it should.

when doing a slow pulse dry burn, get it to glow by moving the bottom one closer to the one above. That and make sure the bottom one is touching the wick as much as the others. I manage to get them all glowing this way and making sure the distance between the coils is pretty much even. I found that a slight tweak makes a big change in the flavor and the way the juice is vaporized....I know it takes a lot of tinkering at times but once all good there is nothing better!

Urq, I mean no offense-- with that much space around the wick and the fill screw tube, I'd be surprised if it wouldn't leak laid on it's side. I have a slightly loose fitting wick of 14mm mesh semi-hollow. If there is an issue with a volcano effect (usually isn't) then I pinch it shut at the top. With this being the only opening it was fine with wicking and no vacuum issues.
Only recently I have switched from running a seperate ground and connect directly to the base. With this there is a hole drilled to press fit a length of 18g needle in which kanthal and a pin are inserted, with slight air gaps around these two smaller diameters. It is a very small vent, but bubbles when filling.
In your case I would try the mesh fill plug idea and a tighter fitting wick. If it is always wet you will have a liquid membrane that stays put with surface tension but gives in either direction if there is a vacuum.
