I'll need spare parts eventually when the v3 finally gets to me, but I don't know what I need yet, so I couldn't participate. :( Hopefully there will be another co-op like this.

If your like me xforumulax and have big fingers it can be a challenge to get that little button. Takes some getting used to. I don't notice any issues with the button anymore, I've grown accustom to it.

Don't know where crashtest22 is but I swear it was him that showed a replacement button that was bigger than the stock one.
I did not find a replacement button but I do remember someone at some time talking about it.
I was having a hard press problem too but after I took the switch out and put it back in and aligned it all it seems to be working good.

I almost think it had something to do with the coil and shorting out

Any update on V3? can't wait!!
Me either :)

Spoke too soon. Square orings from IBTanked leaking. :(
IBTanked offered to ship correct orings. Now that's A1 customer service. Reciprocated good service by having the replacement orings shipped together with my next order to save having to ship orings separately. Thanks OCD! :vapor:

Woe is me... not feeling the Orion love! Outside of modding it somehow (drilling wider hole, sanding tank, etc.) nothing I have tried has worked!
I have made hundreds of wick/coils on several other devices, and RBAs. I can get a perfect coil every time, even perfect coils on the Orion. No matter what I do, or how I line up the air hole I get harsh hits.
It is an Orion V.2 At this point I would just sell or trade it, as I don't want to decrease (or f@ck it up!) its value by modding it.
Any suggestions before I throw in the towel?

Don't give up....once you figure out the little tricks ou will be able to rewick and coil with zero break in and great flavor. Harsh hit makes me think a hot spot.....when I install a new wick and coil, I like to do it with a dry tank! If I can get an even glowing coil with no hot spots without juice then I know I'm good. Remember the top cap is sorta shallow, make sure you wick isn't sticking any higher up than the center post and lean the wick toward the center post without touching the post or washers (or nuts if using M2s).

Like cryptodogg said, don't give up. I had trouble at first but soon mastered it. It was a bit harder to set up than my zen or iHy but when you get it working, I would say the Orion had the best throat hit and flavor. Only reason I sold mine is because of the switch. I had no issues with mine but not a fan of electrical switch. I prefer all mechanical.

Thanks cryptodogg- for the encouragement! I don't want to give up! The Orion is so beautiful, I want it to work!
Ok, I'll hang in a little more...

FWIW I have found a smaller wick to work best in my orion 2.1
almost the same size as a stock zen wick if you have seen those.
I made my last one to fill about 3/4 of the wick hole and it works great

Finally received my Orion v 2.1 direct from NoSmoker. With all I'd read about how finicky this APV is, I was really worried about getting her up & running. This is only my second experience with a Genesis atomizer, the first being a Zenesis.

I am thrilled, but nervous, to report that I had her up & running spectacularly in no time. I am praying it's not beginner's luck. Vaping just beautifully - my only concern is that the top cap & top cap threads are covered in juice in no time. I'm using bograt's 510 cap. No big deal to wipe it out frequently but, ummm, is this normal?
