Does it display resistance (Ohms)?

It doesn't read out the ohms but you set the voltage you want and when you press on the big button to vape it reads you the wattage. At least that's what my techy friend tells me that's what it's doing. I just set the voltage to when the flavor hits the sweet spot and I'm a happy camper.

So I ordered one of these Friday night. I will give my full review of it (from a noobie's POV) when it comes in. I do want to be able to have some spare batteries. I have read all 103 pages and I am still not sure which are the best batteries to get for these. Can someone please help me out. I did read that sandy feels that the '1200 mAh flat tops' are the best, but I don't want to have to use rare earth magnets to make them work. Thanks.

If by 'ordered one' you mean the Ovale V8, 800 mAh, 18350 IMR 'Button Top' type batteries x 2 for each backup set ought to do the trick. At least that's what coming with the V8 I'm expecting to arrive tomorrow.

Yeah, I found that works for me, too!

Mine was purchased from DiscountVapers The one I received includes the ability to display resistance in Ohms. I 'suspect' tpoulton's may as well, but I don't know for certain.

A much better deal from Arizona Vapor Trails. It came with 2 Qvale V8 Mods, 2 18350 batteries, charger and 510 to ego adapter. Total cost me 32.14 shipped and received it in 2 days.

I think that one is less because it doesn't feature an ohm meter. the one Eric is selling is the newest version with ohm meter. I could be wrong i didn't look much at the arizona one but Eric's is the latest/newest version. I love dealing with Eric and may pick one of these up just for ....s n gigs.

I just ordered one of these from Discount Vapors and 4 AW 18350 imr batteries from RTD. I also got the V8 leather carrying case from DV to use as a lanyard as I plan on using this for an upcoming Muse concert.

I hadn't planned on buying the V8, but my Smoktech V.V. Gripper's three buttons all collapsed into its body yesterday after only 7 week's use. Still hopefully under warranty, but I do like the form factor of both mods for out-and-about vaping and I've learned not to trust the cheap body build of the Gripper. Hopefully the V8 is better constructed with more durability.

Can anyone confirm that I got the correct batteries for this? They are the button top variety.

My Ovale V8 arrived from DiscountVapors this past Monday.

I did a little mod to it to steady it up a bit on the desktop. I found I had a small strip of hard rubber, about 1/8" thick. I turned it into a wedge with a rotary tool and cut off 4 small wedge shapes to add as feet to the bottom of the V8. They are attached with Super Glue. After the glue was well set up, I laid a piece of sandpaper, face up on the desktop and drug the V8 bottom across it until all the wedge feet were flat and true to each other.
