Oops, sorry about that. Was I repeating myself, thereby forcing you to repeat yourself lol...? It is just that I can't understand... My Ovale hits like a freight train!! But maybe because all my cartos are either dual coil or very low resistance and my ejuices are 36mg hehe. What resistance were you using?

So what is happening now? Are you getting a replacement?

Yeah I just sent it back yesterday (with the buttom part of my nova still attached. It was impossible to get it back off)

I used a 2.8 ohm coil on a vivi nova (allready told you that before 2 ;) )

Hehe... too funny :D. that is why I am always on 3.1 after doing the same thing some time back!

By the way, I sent my brother in Haiti a vape kit... some juices, some driptips, 510 and 808 cartomizers, Stardusts, EMDCC's, 4 eGo batteries, 1 808 battery, 1 eGo charger, 1 808 charger, a zip case and finally a black v8 VV kit.

He eventually received it after 1 month.

Missing from the package was:
1 eGo VV battery and the eGo charger, the 808 battery, the Ovale V8 body. Everything else was still there.

Result...
Can't use the eGo's - no charger
Can't use the 808 - battery missing
Can't use the Ovale - body missing

Now I am preparing another parcel to send with Fedex (costing the earth but safer and quick) with 2 eGo chargers, 2 eGo batteries, 1 808 battery and one new Ovale body.

OMG, thats so shady! I would be so mad!

Wow. You are in Japan, your brother is in Haiti. Is the rest of your family as far-flung?

My white V8 has picked up a new trick.
1) Vape, vape, vape
2) Put it down
3) Pick it up and try to vape. Nothing
4) Twist the atomizer and the supplied connector a quarter-twist counter clockwise
5) Twist them back to the starting position.
Repeat steps 1-5

There's so much I love about the V8 but a mod that needs replacing once a month is not a bargain. My interest in the 18650 VV Gripper has just moved from "drooling" to "seriously contemplating." If I take the plunge, I guess my V8s will become back-ups.

I KNOW aghhhh... Anyway, I suppose I should be grateful that ANYTHING arrived because Haiti is top of the world's list of worst mail carriers even worse than Gaza. In fact they had NO mail at all, and a mailing system was set up by the US some time after the earthquake in order to get supplies in. They also have no landlines and no postal codes.... My brother is so frustrated and can't vape lol...

I, for sure, know how your brother feels... Lets wish that your brother gets the other package you sent out. COMPLETE!

Yes, other siblings are in Colombia, Afghanistan and South Africa (used to be one in Turkey). Not sure what, if anything, we are all running from hehe.

That is too bad about your Ovale. I had some misfiring for a day or two, so I disconnected everything and very carefully cleaned all threads, connections and batteris with an alcohol swap and toothpick. Working like a charm again.

Thanks so much Penguin! I take that it you have had some stuff gone missing through the mail?

Well, not really :D Only did ordered once and had it sent to me through mail. It came through. But the thing is it really is hard to trust people handling your stuff. A lot of them mishandle packages. And in this unfortunate case people stealing what is inside the package.

P, mine have issues too. I've found in the vaping world that I always fall for the deals, but I could have bought three state of the art PVs for what I have spent on cheap ones.

I'm not unhappy with them, but I won't be buying extra ones. Once I find what I want, I'll use the V8s at home but I won't want to rely on them in the outside world.

I like having multiple mods so I can have each loaded with a favorite flavor that I can grab for a quick puff or two before returning to the flavor of the hour so I don't want to spend too much on each -- I'm not buying 4 $100 mods.

I like the flavor at around 4.7V (4.1 on the V8) so I want VV.

Most of the mods that look great to me are tubes and those are not compatible with my hands. If they were, I'd be using my Chucks full time, instead of looking at them as artwork. I can use little, lightweight eGos -- I throw them in my bag as emergency back-ups, but the muscles on the back of my hands hurt if I can't change my grip fairly frequently. (If I hold a phone for half an hour, my hand goes to sleep.)

I'm going to wait for a few months until reviews for the 18650 VV Gripper start coming in (especially the reviews after a couple of months of use.) These will be good until then.

Dragonbone, I now have a very clean, white, misfiring V8. It works okay for at home.
Where are you from originally? With your family's geography, you sound like a bunch of missionaries. ;-D

Sometimes, like just now, when I press the button, I don't hear anything, like it's not firing. Just for a sec, but as soon as I start a slow draw on the carto, it wakes up and starts crackling. Like, if I didn't take a draw, it would have just sat there and done nothing with the button on. Maybe that's just the carto, though......

Rockin' some icy menthol juice in a Goober fish tank at 5v on a V8!

Awesome! Love the tank!

Sorry to hear that you also have misfiring! Have you tried a serious clean and wipe down with an alcohol swab and toothpick? Worked for me. Btw.... How many mods do you have now?
Do you have an engraved eGo battery yet? Also how much did you pay for your colored EMDCC's? I want pink... but can't get anyone to ship to me, unless I buy direct from alibaba in bulk...

Ecigsupply has ten color options, including pink! Same price as most anywhere else, $2.79 -- Smoktech EGO MEGA Dual Coil Cartomizers

I don't use my V8 enough to worry about a major cleaning. I just wipe out the connectors with a paper towel.

No, the engraved Ego's are really cool, but they're kinda dinky for my taste lately. I'd probably get one if it came in a 1000mah Twist, though! :D

Haha, you asked me before how many mods I have, but I haven't counted really. I've got a cool hologram Silver Bullet coming in any day now. I also recently sold my mini Lavatube and Provari. I'm liking the bigger mods now and am looking for a second 5v Triple V Mod, and maybe a Saber Touch.

What's up with your hands Poeia? If you don't mind me asking... if you do, just ignore my question :).
No, not missionaries lol! Just our jobs (all different) that either take us abroad or give us an opportunity to work abroad, and/or marriage to a foreign national that keeps us abroad (in two cases). Country of origin - South Africa - where being white is a dirty word and being white AND over thirty, almost guarantees unemployment. Where having barbed wire, guard dogs, security alarms, guns and safe rooms are a necessity, and extreme danger to one's person, one's family and loved ones, one's property and even LIFE... a DAILY threat. We choose life (abroad).

I got my Ego Twist today. I think the Ovales I have are going to go in the drawer.

Too dinky? Lol! By the way, I went to check ecig supply again. I couldn't remember what the problem was last time you told me....Yep! They don't ship to Japan. They do however ship to Iceland, French Polynesia, Fiji, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and all the OTHER usual (and unusual) suspects.....
