I would get something like the xtar WP2 II once for about 20 bucks and be done with. The quality control on TrustFire stuff is iffy at best. There are more reports on ECF of late of recent TR001's never getting to proper charging volatage. 18650's taking 10+ hours to charge in the process, and/or the battery getting close to 4.2 volts... but the charger isn't completing the cycle and stays stuck on a red status LED. Take the charger back, try another one... same problem. You can only cheap out so far on chargers and batteries before you buy more problems than save any real money. And the xtar stuff comes with a 2 year warranty.

I'm convinced the Xtar stuff is better, when it comes down to stuff like CV/CC curves the internal chip uses to regulate the charge cycle. If you google any of these chargers you can find test results done on the flash light forums. And I know a lot of these TrustFire chargers are in use, but if there ever are complaints (and a lot of them) about chargers on ECF it seems it's always a Trustfire. I know Bad ran across a problem with his recent Xtar purchase - that's the only report I've run across about a problem with an Xtar charger. And it was replaced with no hassle.

All that, and Xtar backing their stuff with a 2 year warranty. (Do Trustfire chargers even come with a warranty?) If the manufacturer wasn't putting out good stuff they wouldn't be expecting it to last that long.

Or maybe it's just me. Whoever thought putting the words "Trust", "Fire" and "battery" together in a product line was a good idea...

I wonder if the numbers of TrustFire chargers dominate in the ecig realm.

I'm using one ultrafire charger and 2$ unbranded with mark hg-103w. Second was broken when i received it, i soldered + pin and it works more then 1. year. Ultrafire works last 3-4 months, it is always pluged, without any issue. Also want to buy xtar, but mostly because i have a lot of batteries and can't charge them all at a same time.

It is apparently the new version. I got it from vapor break, so who knows what I'll get. It was pretty cheap, and had a few extra dollars in my pocket. What the hey, we'll see what happens.

I don't think that one has the resistance checker, but it's still worth having.

My Ovale V8 is the old version and it's still working perfectly after all these months of daily use. I have a Provari and also the MadVapes Cartomizer and Atomizer Ohm Meter for when I want to check resistance. Which I rarely do.... :p.

dmbryan, did you receive the Ovale V8 yet and if you did was it the new ohm checker version?

Just got my new v8! 13 days from china to my door. It came with 2 600 mah efest batteries, a charger, and two small clearos. It works quite well. I can't fit a T3 on it without using two ego/510 adapters. Might need to widen the gap at the base a little. Not sure if it has an ohm checker. If anyone knows how to do it let me know, and I'll see. Tried to attach a pic and messed it up sorry.

Tried that and it just shows two red horizontal lines.

Sounds like it is switched off. Click the vape button 5 times. Sounds like you have the older version (like me). Make sure that you set it to it to it's lowest setting +1, meaning 3.1 before you vape.

To post nice pics, first crop them a bit if necessary, and rotate to correct orientation.
To upload larger pics, use an image hosting site, there are several. I use TinyPic.
Go to TinyPic. Resize to 'Website' for medium or 'Message Board' fof large / Browse and Upload Pic / copy IMG code /paste IMG code in your forum post where you need it.
