So I murdered my only Penelope ceramic today

Is there something I'm doing wrong on assembly that makes the ceramic section so impossible to separate from the base? I've read through and know not to tighten it too much and haven't been. I had to use 2 sets of pliers and the ceramic cracked long before I got the pieces separated.. I'm rather frustrated with it. Never had this Happen with Ody on either base. Is the oring too big under the cup?

Now my poor Penelope is out of service lol . Sorry about the vent lol, I was hoping to use it away this weekend.

As kwalka said, use some vaseline on the botton o-ring, or you can replace that o-ring with an smaller one, try with an AS568 004 o-ring (5/64 Inner diameter, 13/64 Outer diameter, 1/16 cross section or 0.070"ID x 0.070" CS).

If I remind fine, the O-Ring that originally came with the first Penelopes was slightly a bigger one.

My Ody is on top of my ggts with the ggts/ody base.. The penny's were bought for use on the protus so they sit till they meet the match Imeo has for them.. I'm sure they would work well on the provari but the gg gods would look down on me for it..

The gods won't be mad, they know the Pene should get some use, besides I hear Proteus doesn't like virgins!

my friend jail, things are not like you said. I was absolutely sure that I will make it but new constructions can be stopped for several reasons. One serious reason is that you just cant make it as you like it.

Even if I will not make Proteus, Penelope is an exellent atomizer that fits everywhere, so I dont think that I sold you something that you cant operate.

As for the Proteus prototype. I have a Proteus prototype but with no electronics on it. Maybe you saw it in a picture on GG forum.

Also, I didnt sell something that I didnt produce as you know. You didnt pay anything for Proteus, yes?

And about serials and list: If you are sure about something and also people are asking you about a list, then you will not make the list? I did it for you, not for me. You had to be thankful for that not ungry. I could not make any list if you agree.

I for one am neither angry nor even disappointed and the reason I am not is because I have the patience to wait for this new invention to come to pass. I for one would rather something be "Right" than be "Fast" I hate it when things are rushed to appease the masses. GG Owners are by far not Masses anyways. There have not been all that many made in the grand scheme of things. I feel Honored to own the GG Products that I do own. And although I do not have a huge collection of them, (I have a Penelope and Ody and the GGTS #1436 that WILL follow me to my Grave due to the number on it), but I treasure each and every piece I have because I know that they were produced with care and with precision which cannot be said about very many devices in vaping or any other industry for that mater.

IMEO I know that when the correct recipe of build parts comes along, your invention will come out. You are tenacious and very thorough about the things you make. If they are not to your extremely high standards then you do not accept them. I Applaud you for that every day and with every vape I take from my GG's.

We are all disappointed about Proteus, but grateful that Imeo will only put items for sale that work perfectly and will last. He could take our money and sell something inferior but his values prevent this. I would rather have it delayed, or cancelled, than have him throw something together that doesn't look or function well. JMHO.

I am not angry either just disappointed also. I had expectations due to the list and having a smaller vaping package to carry around. I imagine with so many people with reserved numbers at least some percentage are not going to be happy. Even with the best vaping products on earth its impossible to please everyone. Im just gonna hold a sliver of hope that somehow a solution will be found to the electronics.

I'm missing proteus but I'm really glad that someone exsists(sure it is Imeo, the One) who isn't sending a half-made or not properly working device to sales... If everyone could do things that way.. we'd have lesser devices but finer in the market... [sure, not as fine as GG family : )]

And I love each product of you!

Of course I know that you wanted to achieve with the production of Proteus something special, and, unfortunately, it has not all worked out so as requested by you.

I also know that you envisioned one perfect product, as you've planned Proteus.

And of course you don't want now sell merchandise that does not meet these expectations.

Therefore, you offer us at all to no battery carrier. I understand that too, because you're a perfectionist. Perfectionists want to do things correctly or not. But sometimes overlooks the essentials. And what we all desire??
A battery mod for all of our beloved Penelope, which exactly suits her!
I am sure that no one would be angry if you would initially produce only a 'Proteus M' (M for mechanical), which the same great features as the GGTB ​​has, as it were, a 'mini GGTB​​' which is perfect for the 14500 - batteries fit.

I have noticed that I have found, despite many battery mods not really suitable 14500-Battery Mod, which fits perfectly to Penelope. Not in GG-quality, not with the GG button!

I do not need VV modules, but only one perfect matching battery carrier, and I think a lot of GG fans now so think about it.

Possibly with the same price as the GGTB​​.

Anyway it would be great if the next time you would make Presales for normal GGTB ​​ with 510-port.

Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the new products such as Ithaca and VIR, etc., because still I am and remain wholeheartedly a GG fan!

yeah Jail is not in the majority IMO...id rather wait for something good than get something half good... Penelope alone is great.. PRoteus is still not a dead project so i dont see the anger frustration.... sure it would be nice if it was ready to go...but it isnt and i am glad it hasnt been rushed...i love Imeo's work because it takes time and is well though

Imeo keep plugging away at it...and as you have done as we wait...just let us know your progress whether good or bad (again like you have been doing)...

i have my money set aside for this project and it will stay set aside...all i would want is that if the project is totally abandoned...just to let us all know ...so if we have set aside money..we can put it towards other things... like more GG stuff!!

I am still wondering why Jail is ungry. I didnt do something wrong to my opinion. I didnt fool anyone, I didnt take any money from people for something that I didnt make. I tried hard to make Proteus but it doesnt meet my expectations. I can make a long button at 55mm that will work exellent but whats the point? I am sure Jail too will not like the look of Proteus like this.

my problem is that I thought I get a unit with atomizer and carrier which are not so big, both with the same diameter and VV.
Now I can use the Penelope on my Provari, but it is to big. Also I can buy an other carrier for 14500 batteries, but there is no with VV. In the german GG-FB-group there are a lot of people which think like me. Many of them would not have bought if it was not advertised as a unit with the proteus. It was only interessant as a unit. Litte atomizer with little vv batterie carrier. The same diameter and all from GG.
The mistake you made is not, that you dont' build it now. Better no proteus than a bad proteus. You make the mistake, that you advertise a complete unit and now you can't deliver the second part of this unit. For a lot of people is the first part of the unit (Penelope) now uninteresting.

I think i may know the reason why Jail is angry.
P+P was announced as a pair, to be sold together. I guess many users reserved serials to be sure to get P+P as a pair. Once Penelope was finished and Proteus was delayed, it was decided that we could buy Penelope first, and then buy Proteus when available.
Now we have a situaton where customeres have bought a Penelope without a matching mod coming out anytime soon.
I do understand where Jail is coming from, but i definitely don't agree with his anger.

I bought my two Penny's to get a small GG system for situatons where GGTS+Iatty is too big, but will now have to find other batteryholders for the Penny.

Would i have bought the two Penny's if there had been no mention of Proteus? Propably not.
Am i mad at anyone since there will be no Proteus? Definitely not!
Am i disappointed that there wil be no Proteus? Definitely!

As mentioned elsewhere: If Proteus is impossible to make, then it wont happen. No reason to be mad at anyone. Nobody has paid for anything they didn't get. If you don't like your Penelope, sell it in the classifieds. There's plenty of potential buyers who will pay retail (or close) for a Penelope.
Cheer up Jail, You still have a great atomizer.
