I now understand what you mean Jail. I advertised the whole unit, yes. But you have to admit that I didnt do it in purpose. Penelope would be sold either even if Proteus was not in the game. I just did it because I was sure that I will make it. And I can still make it but the length is not what I like.

Some things are out of my control. For example, when my engineer told me that a VV module for Proteus was an easy stuff, I told you the same on forum. When list was started, my engineer hadnt tell me about the issue that we would have on production. And the issue is that he cant make it as small as I wanted. Also its not his mistake exactly because he did his work but noone can produce a so small electronic cirquit.

So I cant really see where I am wrong. I did my best trying to make Proteus and you did your best by putting yourself to the list. .... happens but at least you didnt lose any money and you will never lose from me of course.

my problem is that I thought I get a unit with atomizer and carrier which are not so big, both with the same diameter and VV.
Now I can use the Penelope on my Provari, but it is to big. Also I can buy an other carrier for 14500 batteries, but there is no with VV. In the german GG-FB-group there are a lot of people which think like me. Many of them would not have bought if it was not advertised as a unit with the proteus. It was only interessant as a unit. Litte atomizer with little vv batterie carrier. The same diameter and all from GG.
The mistake you made is not, that you dont' build it now. Better no proteus than a bad proteus. You make the mistake, that you advertise a complete unit and now you can't deliver the second part of this unit. For a lot of people is the first part of the unit (Penelope) now uninteresting.

I joined the GG forum later so I did not reserve a serial number for Proteus. But I could get a Pepelope which is working great with my Provari. And I must say that is a great atomizer! I only hope you agree on this. Better than anything else on the market: SS, no leaks, rebulidable, etc I love it !!! So I think Imeo provided us a great product.

I am sure he will come up with some solution for Proteus or whatever the new name will be, sometime later. Any project can go wrong. Have you heard about the new airport in Berlin? I don't think I need to tell you more...

In case you are really, really unhappy about Penelope, just sell them... Or use it with Stealth, withouth VV or course.

with or without proteus we can live just as well thank God, we look at the most important things, we are here in a forum to talk about beautiful objects and spectacular, we have this privileged and we can not complain.

I want a nice 14500 mod that has same diameter as Penelope. I don't like to use the ggtb as it is bigger in diameter.

So why not bring the proteus with air control for Penelope now? If you manage to do the electronics later then it can be available as a separate unit?

Probably because the Proteus is HIS creation and should not be released until it is completed. To Quote a very famous saying that holds true throughout time:

"All good things come to those who wait"

I am sorry if this sounds short or offends anyone, but I personally am sick of half assed products hitting the market when they are no where near ready to be given to the public.

I am two thousand percent behind IMEO on holding this product back until it is 100% ready to be released. His perfectionism has saved all of us a lot of headaches and I appreciate him for this.

This is going to be Posted in Two Places because there are two places where it needs to be stated due to some complaints directed towards IMEO.

IMEO takes great Pride in everything he does, this shows in the quality of the end products that he releases. They work the way they are designed to every time without exception in my experience. He does not use the consumer as a lab rat to test things to see IF they work, he tests them himself and with the help of perhaps a few select people who have offered to help him test his products. Not sure which but I do know that they are not sold until they have been tested and PROVEN to work the way they should.

This statement cannot be made about 99.9% of the Manufacturers out there of these devices so if something is a bit delayed because it did not pass QC.........

QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT IT!!!!! It is a Benefit NOT a Drawback!!!

I totally agree, a mod 14 500 with air control would be sufficient for most...

That is a great and constructive Idea, perhaps even make two versions of the Proteus, on with VV and one without. I think it would be an awesome idea. May not be possible but it is certainly something to think about.

Imeo, it's actually a compliment to you that people are angry the Proteus isn't out. You make insanely awesome stuff and just announcing something is like Christmas morning for all of us. Don't take people's disappointment personally, I'm sure you're just as disappointed as we are that proteus isn't ready, and that makes us all a united community in our anger toward reality. Thank god we have you to keep fighting to make miracles happen!

I too am pretty ...... that Proteus doesn't exist. Stupid realities of manufacturing. That's what we're really mad at.

Anyways, please don't take it personally. You don't have anything to feel bad about, without you we wouldn't even be talking about all this. We'd just be ...... off about the crappy alternatives to GG's out there and complaining about how no one makes anything decent. You have delivered us from that fate, and I'm confident you'll continue working to make better products for us. That makes me personally, very grateful!

Seriously, a 14500 mod will not perform well without electronics to my opinion. 14500 battery will drop off easily. Even with electronics it will not last long. Its not that bad to change often batteries, its the easiest thing in the world but at least we need steady voltage with a so small battery

My only GG product so far is Penelope and am VERY satisfied with this product. I love its quality. I pre-ordered GGTS and UFS and patiently waiting for these to arrive when the batch is ready.

Therefore, I strongly encourage you to KEEP UP YOU GOOD WORK! Do not get discouraged by some difficulties, we all have these.
I am sure you will solve the problems sooner or later and will bring us other new great products.

I am hardly waiting for Ithaka.

Yea Imeo don't take it to heart mate. You've had a huge impact on the industry, and I admire the way that you engage with your customers and go out of your way to help those in need. It's never nice to know that somebody out there is unhappy, but sometimes things happen that are beyond our control. I have no doubt that I speak for the vast majority of the community in saying that your work ethic is appreciated to the highest extent. I know that nobody would be as frustrated about the Proteus as you are, and just wanted to let you know that you have nothing to be ashamed of. You are not wrong Imeo. Those that are unhappy with Penelope and no Proteus should rid themselves of it straight away. Many people are waiting for the chance to own a Penelope. Just my 2 cents.
