Just like this. Penelope on a polished eGo 1300mAh battery

That Looks mighty Fine there Captain :D

I personally think the 1300 mah Idea is a great idea. It should still be able to keep the slender build and not be too long in the tooth for most users yet give a LOT more time between battery changes :D

Imeo, agreed, 14500 battery is not good at all. The only real battery that I would use is 18650.

And with electronics it will last only 20-30 mins Captain. The reason is that you always push the battery to give more and more voltage

I wrote my thoughts on GG outside thread about a 14500 mod. Its not what we need guys. A made in China 17mm battery to meet Penelope's width, with an AD control that I can make very easy will be much cheaper and at 1300 mah, not 580 mah.

A 14500 battery is a waste of time and a waste of your money to my opinion. We buy what ever we see around and we run out of money so we cant buy something good that will meet our needs.

I have thought of that the last days Darth. A 17mm fat battery at 1300 mah with a button that keeps voltage always steady (so a very small electronic part), with AD control and penelope on it. And the battery will cost 20 euros in case it fails. The more I think about it, the more I like this idea

I agree wholeheartedly with you there. Then the adjustment or regulator can be kept small and the form factor also kept excellent. I did take one of my old Go Go Batteries, (Which are 1300 Mah fat batts) and when I put Penelope up next to it it was virtually a perfect match for diameter. I think a 1300 Mah Proteus would be much more efficient and please a lot more people than the 14500 would because as has already been stated the 14500 will not have the battery life that most would want from Proteus with the Penelope atty on it because it would simply take too much power to use Penelope in the manor most of us are used to from those tiny little batteries.

Sincerely;

So, does all this basicly mean that the VIR will be on priority ? Saying , production/manufacturing , sales soon ?

However, it is sad to see the Proteus project scrubbed ! I personaly would rather cancel the Proteus than put out a substandard GG product.

The GG standard is set so high, because of Imeo's high standards of invention and innovation , we will just have to trust him on this !

Proteus hasnt been scrubbed... just delayed until a solution can be found

right
?

I don't think so :(
Imeo has just said in another post that he has decided that a 14500-based VV ecig is rubbish and a waste of time and money, so with that in mind Proteus (or any other GG to match Penelope size-wise) apparently is never going to happen.

So are we talking like a 17500 battery power regulated Proteus? That sounds good!

So how would a 14500 not last long enough? That's what's inside the standard sized ego (and clones) and when I started with those 1-2 would last me an entire day of heavy use. VV doesn't matter, just regulated voltage is all that's important since we make our own coils. VV is great for standard atties/cartos where you have no control over the resistance. Remember voltage and resistance makes up the wattage, wattage is all that matters. We have control over resistance, don't need control over voltage, just need it to stay the same.

I kind of agree valascar. I've used a small 14500 feeder mod with a 1.5 atty or 1.7 carto as a daily device now for almost a year. I'll whole heartedly agree that this won't be the platform for pounding out triple coils at .6ohms, but for use as a classy slim PV I think anything ~1ohm or above would be perfectly ok on a unregulated 14500. I was hoping this would be the new GG slim in a sense. For what it's worth imeo, you could release a beautiful shiny simple 14500 tube with no electronics and air control, maybe give it a nice price, and many will still be happy. I have many electronic devices, I could live without another lol. Proteus may not ever be exactly as you imagined it, but a beautiful and well built slim model with your patented air control would still be a head turner, even unregulated!

Chinner, another reason that proteus has to have electronics is the button. If it doesnt have them then we will make a front button GG. Thats not what I want to do.:)

it woudl be nice for the Penny to have a her Pro to go with her...even if it was just a 14500 version of a GGTB...like Mini-GGTB

not quite a Slim but not a GGTB either...... maybe GGSlimTB

i dunno...i love thei dea of a 17mm mod for the bigger batteries...but i cant say i dont want something to match up with my Pennys...

plus i think a 14500 mod has worth on its own as is...even if just mechanical

I agree. I would still love to have a Proteus even without VV. it doesn't even have to be regulated and the only electronics could be for the switch. I was hoping to use the Proteus for when I go to work. I can easily make a 14500 battery last a full 8 hour work day (and 2 hour commute). We always have GGTS for "extreme" vaping, and at home use or if we need a larger battery. I hope that the proteus is not dead.

I feel you, but there are already so many mechanical 14500 battery mods out there that are solid options for Penelope. Even though I'd buy whatever it was that Imeo came out with next, I'd hate to see him make anything unbefitting of his current portfolio of creations or anything that'd interrupt the steady trend of innovative and revolutionary PVs/tanks/RBAs that he's sustained for the past 4 or so years.
