- if you never owned a Provari please stop contributing to this thread because your opinions are based on other subpar devices that you have used to compare to the Provari.
That's like going to a Harley Davidson meet with a skateboard.

Of course non-Provari owners should be allowed to post here. By your logic people who don't own or haven't owned a p3 should stay out of this thread, which would be everyone. My post was about what I really like about what we know about the p3 and how I now for the first time am contemplating getting a Provari, but that there are still some things that I don't like. Why shouldn't I be allowed to post that? Also, subpar is a matter of what you want from a device. If you need more than 20w then the p3 is subpar to a DNA30 device. If you prefer a three button system then the p3 is subpar to many other devices. If you prefer to vape at lower wattages then a DNA30 device is subpar to a p3. And so on. I like what I've learnt about the p3 but I'm not yet sure if that's enough for me to get one, and It's fully in my right to express that opinion.

I believe that once you have owned a Provari, you will know how much of an excellent product it is. And to top off an already successful and excellent product (P3) is a big accomplishment that only Provari owners can truly appreciate because they know how excellent the product is.
If you don't know how the Provari works and you're on the p3 board then you're basically coming with empty cannons shooting at nothing.

Three button 50 watt device will always be subpar to a Provari because -
1. The mod would not have any of the safety features the Provari has- regardless of how many buttons it has.
You're saying that an extra button beats safety features.

Ok..

All the dna30 devices out there do not have the safety features or the board that the Provari have.
90% of those devices use glue inside their devices.
Glue.
Something that 3rd graders use.

Which is why I suggest that if you are not a Provari owner you won't know what to do with the p3 or appreciate its upgrades.
I for one am quite excited that I can vape at .7 at 20 watts with extra boost at a Provari level using provapes most eccentric IQ board that delivers a perfect vape every time.

And if you already owned a Provari you would know that the p3 is everything the 2.5 Provari is but times ten.

So there is really nothing to contemplate about. But it's useless for me to say bc u won't know what I'm talking about since you don't own a Provari.

I have used a ProVari as my go to device for years now, and your posts just comes across as angry and combative fanboyism. As someone who used their v1 ProVari happily, and upgraded it to a v2 that I still use, I'm nothing but disappointed with the specs of the P3. The fact is, the ProVari has been aging for quite some time, and the P3 catches them up to last generation's tech, which was only negligibly better than the ProVari, and that's going to make it a pretty pointless purchase for anyone who already owns an older ProVari.

P.S. you can't actually hit 20 watts at .7 ohms because of the amp limit.

Edit:yep, 17 watts max at .7, and who wants to bet the "boost" feature won't do a thing over the 5 amp limit, other than possibly throwing a user friendly error at you?

I think people are always entitled to their opinions but I would like to read intelligent opinions based on knowledge and research and filter out the rest where I know the real angry people will come out and say absolutely anything to bash on the p3 or the Provari.

Instigators, gossipers, people who just love starting things, etc. are guaranteed to be dissatisfied with the p3.

For those who just want a working device with safety features and longetivity plus warranty I know with all that I have that the Provari will make you happy.
As far as Provari owners who are dissatisfied with the p3, I can only say, hey, provape at least did it.

Now u can save ur money, and buy other things, I for one only want the p3 because I would like to support provape and their products.
I don't want a 3rd grader made dna30 device that's going to blow up in my hand
Or a mech mod that only does 4.2 for 5 hits.
I don't want a Chinese variable mod that I have to send back in two years because the threads crapped out.
I don't want a Chinese mod anything bc eventually, I will leave it out in the sun or abuse its threads and render the thing useless in a months time.

The p3 is the only thing I like that I would buy and would proudly say hey I own only two mods and they're both provaris.
Fan boyish ? I guess.
Smart ? Maybe.
Knowledgable ? I don't know..
Combative ? .. Hey, come on, I'm not rich, I saved up long and hard for my 2.5 so I'll fight for my right to enjoy it and say my per-se.

.7 at 20 watts undoable ?
Frig me, provape please let that be possible. If not then oh well I'll settle for the interchangeable tubes to a 18650 from a 18350 with a rainbow spectrum of led changes for my button anytime

Outdated ? Umm, that's really the only sacrifice I guess for a solid workhorse that you won't have to return or rebuy bc u dropped it or left it in the hot sun. I'll take the 5 amp limit over any technology any day if I know for sure ten years from now my Provari will still work like if it's from the first day.

Now that's out of the way..
WOW. Finally.
Or is it really or what's going on here!

No more error codes ? Yes please!
Interchangeable tubes with matching threads to mix and match with your previous end caps attachments ?! That's like saying hey I can put my gold coated tatroe extension with my new toy ?

If the p3 comes out I will wait for a couple of months until they release a zombie edition p3 where you have to feed it blood in order for the IQ control to stay healthy. "Joking"

Anyways.
The Provari 2.5 is the best thing a person can have in their vape stash.

How about dna80 users with 80 watts going at .5 ohms? Yeah sure you guys are cool until you realize all the glue just melted inside your internal board and you need to send that back in the shop
your Hana mods might b able to push 100 watts but the plastic housing and all that homemade diy connections will someday fry out on you.

The only gripe about this is I wish provape would go an extra 5 watts for a 25 watt vape at .7 that would be sweet.

But maybe they did studies and realizes that after a certain time the unit gets hot after a certain wattage and you're slowly destroying your mod.
Provape has the money to do those kind of research u kno..

Anyways.

Sorry, this is also wrong. The number of button colors is times seven. The number of battery options is only times 1.5. The maximum wattage output is times 1.33. The maximum voltage output is times 1.

Etc.

Just sayin'.

Don't get me wrong: I really like my Provari. But I also like sticking to the facts.

There are enough people out there who think all Provari owners are clueless elitist fanboys. Please try not to reinforce this notion by proving it right.

Heinz....thanks for fanning the flames of people saying provari owners bash everything else. Your posts are nothing short of ridiculous. This is a thread about the provari p3. Its not about hana mods or evolv DNA boards or anything else. You ask non provari owners to stay out? My guess would be, most of us provari owners would rather have all non provari owners participate in this thread than have your childish, elitist rhetoric.
I have multiple provaris. I also have several DNA devices...20's and 30's. They're all good. The new provari? My old ones work perfectly and there's not enough advancement to justify the cost for me.

My biggest problem with "Provari" is their price.

It is a "power distributor" for a battery with a threaded contact.

What does a Provari offer over something like a sub 100$ device? Besides the made in USA and a few gimmicky features like error indicator's? If it had touch screen control and they were selling some kind of revolutionary atomizer/clearomizer technology along with it then maybe I could justify spending 250+$.

Maybe i'm cheap or just don't see the "quality" in a Provari. To me it looks like a tube with a battery and circuit board in it, and a basic LED type screen that I can buy from Radio Shack for 50 cents. I can send my hobbyist circuit board schematics to a circuit board manufacturer and have it built for less then 10$ with all the standard quality assurance that Provari has (which is pretty much standard nowadays anyways).

Maybe i'm being Harsh. I can just see this industry price gouging because of the nature of addictive substances and the huge market. Riding the golden goose so to speak.

The DNA boards do have some safety features.
The DNA 30 boards don't even have reverse battery protection, are you really comparing that to a mod that can even sense when it's contact points need cleaning? You're out of your league here buddy.

The Provari 2.5 has glue in it, AFAIK.
All of the Provari internals are held together by screws or pressure fitted nothing inside is only held together by glue, unlike 99% of all DNA box mods.

Sorry, this is also wrong. The number of button colors is times seven. The number of battery options is only times 1.5. The maximum wattage output is times 1.33. The maximum voltage output is times 1.
This is just a childish response, more like a cry for attention... look at me look at me I'm witty! I see you haven't been vaping very long, have you even held a Provari?

I'm happy w my Provari and when this comes out, I'll probably have $150 saved up for it and by the time I have all of it - there would probably be a splash of cool colors that will be released ..

@ Ritual...Provari provides unsurpassed customer service, unsurpassed quality and unsurpassed performance for a device in its range. Its an investment in a piece of equipment that doesn't need to be thrown away if something were to happen to it. The repair rates ProVape offers are far from price gouging. I don't know what the 3 will cost, but $159 for the 2.5 is far from price gouging too. They're worth every penny. I'm sure there's a little more than a radio shack chip and a quick call to your tech buddy going on there.

No, I am not comparing the lack of reverse battery protection to the P3. Learn to read. Buddy.

Are you absolutely certain of that? 100%? Are you willing to make a bet?

Or maybe I just prefer accuracy to hyperbole ...

I see you haven't been vaping very long, have you even held a Provari?
I don't know? You tell me.

I am actually starting to understand what the Provari haters mean. This elitism .... is seriously off-putting.

LOL @ anybody screaming this has the best and most revolutionary tech inside, it isn't, and nor is DNA, the best chip is YiHi's SX350, and that is not subjective lol. It looks like a good solid device that'll appeal to many and certain rich with features, the best feature without a doubt is heating the coils rapidly on the first fire, but they didn't do that first. Everything else is just gimmicky, and at $250+ this is waaay overpriced for what it is so I can't imagine it'll appeal to many more then the hardcore provari fanboys.
You just saw the spec and capabilities of the new Provape chip, now have a look at YiHi's SX350 below

View attachment 364532

I don't know why it's so surprising to some that provape or DNA isn't at the forefront of the chip technology, most of the most advance tech we all use everyday was developed and produced in Asia, so why would anyone think APV's would be different?

What draws me back to the Provari every time I stray and buy something new is the 800hz frequency of the PWM controller in the Provari. Smooth (as opposed to the rattlesnake crackle) is what makes it a better vape. Most Chinese mods still use the 33hz frequency time base for waveform creation.

I like my Sigelei Zmax V3 and I vape it alternately with the Provari. I'm not crazy about the telescope feature, although it's stable when the battery is installed and the cap is screwed down. The Provari is about 3/4" shorter with an 18650 installed and that's a plus. The Sigelei V3 has wattage mode with RMS voltage synthesis and that's a plus for the V3.

The P3 offers all that and more, so I might jump for one as the prices and deals begin to fluctuate and move downward. I'd like to have a power mode in my V2, but that appears not to be on the horizon for the V2. It will take some strong competition to drive the price point downward, though.

I hear reliable more than revolutionary. Its not provapes goal to fire the lowest ohm coil or run at the highest power. Its to be a sturdy, stable, reliable platform that's suitable for 90% of the vapers out there. Why try to bash it when it does what it does perfectly, Nathaniel? It doesn't go where I want to go anymore but I certainly wish my sx350 device and my DNA devices where HALF as reliable as my provari.

I used to think this way also. I had purchased some other mods, one of them almost the same price as my ProVari blem. They lasted a month or two then developed problems that I was unable to repair. I looked and could not find anywhere to have them repaired, so they became paper weights!

I did considerable research and came to the conclusion that, for my money, I wanted something that if I did have a problem, the producer of the product would stand behind it with a one year warranty, and beyond that, had a facility where I could send the unit for repair at a reasonable price. I looked at customer satisfaction surveys, repair reports, time for repairs/returns and other information. I came to the conclusion that, again, for me, the ProVari was worth trying. I ordered a blem and am truly satisfied. I was so satisfied that my second ProVari is scheduled to arrive today. So yes, to me, the quality is there.

Is the ProVari for everyone? Absolutely not! It meets my needs, and apparently, the needs of many others. You will notice that in many of my comments I insert the "for me" qualifier, YMMV. I do not attempt to "push" the ProVari on anyone. If you ask me a question I will attempt to answer it but those answers are based on my experience and my perception. You have to experience anything yourself to make determinations for yourself.

I hope that you are able to find your ideal vaping set-up and that it works well for you.
