If you haven't been following along here is the short version.
Pdib is making this terrific bf wooden mod that is officially unnamed (but generally called a dibi, and some of us also like pdibs OliveR* suggestion)
*The R was capitalized the first time I saw in in a communication from pdib and I kind of like it that way
There is a waiting list and he is almost done with the first run of 10 mods. (of which 1 is mine Yeah!)
You need to PM him to get on the list.
Prices should be checked with him.
You can supply your own wood or stabilized wood or have him make it out of various stock he has.
If you supply your own wood you need to communicate with pdib first for approval of the wood selected.
It is at your risk if your supplied wood turns out to have internal defects, -or- if something should happen . .. An accident
It is sub ohm ready with low voltage drop and incorporates a fuse element for protection.
Top and bottom sections are held in place by powerful magnets.
510 connector is plated brass . . . . +post is choice of ss or brass
Top section metal plate in copper or aluminum.
Can accommodate any currently made 18650 with spacer changes.
These are great!!! Let me tell you exactly what I look for when I am trying to decide if I want to buy a mod or not. The lack of the below is exactly why I never bought a REO, or wanted one unless I could find it so cheap in the Classifieds it wouldn't matter if I didn't like it. I could not make heads or tails of what they were selling on their website. At all. Or what I needed to use it.
Conversely, why did I want a BilletBox? Because I could UNDERSTAND what they were selling on their site. In one glance and 5 seconds, I made up my mind I was getting one of each after seeing page 1 of the site.
So what's the difference? I tried to write down what elements would cause me to make the buying decision IMMEDIATELY, assuming I had never been there before. Every single site that caused me to spend money answered these questions... on the first page.
Text must answer:
What is it?
Why do I want it?
What makes it better than the competition of the same type?
Photo must answer:
How does it look fully set up (COMPLETE photos, on the front page, inside and out)? (even if your purchase doesn't include all the parts shown)
How big is it? (this can be reference photos taken next to a known object. Ie., BilletBox shot in front of a laptop.. I know how big a key on a keyboard is, a hand, a finger, a coke can)
Clicking on the item description, it must answer:
What is included with it stock?
What is required for you to use it?
Where do you get these things from?
How does it work internally? Full feature set.
Measurements... what would be the size required of accessories (ie., ego head, 510 head)
FAQ SOMEWHERE on the site (or video review):
Measurements of EVERYTHING so I can find replacement parts/accessories
How to rebuild, replace, dissemble, reassemble the unit.
Photos of it completely taken apart down to the screws, so I can see how many parts are there (with a size reference!)
Troubleshooting - what can go wrong? How often does it go wrong? What do I do if it happens?
Safety - how can this harm me and what can I do to prevent/avoid it?
How do I keep it clean/working?
And finally, whatever selling points... what works for me usually is seeing someone USING it (videos help). That's why corporations spend billions on advertising... showing you HOW to use their product, who uses it and why).
And to illustrate this, the reason I am on this thread, the reason I saw the Dibi, was because on the FIRST page was a pix of the unit. A video of the unit being disassembled, and reassembled. I stopped and looked. There's maybe 30 different mod/accessory suppliers here, and I've looked at exactly 3. This one, BilletBox, Microstick. Each either answered the questions above in the first page of the thread, or linked the answers above on the first page of their website.
The Provape site was close but no cigar. Not enough of what I needed to know on page 1.. I ended up with a Provari because I found a used one cheap on the Classifieds to try. It wasn't til I got that before I went to their site to get a brand new one. They did not sell me from page 1, and if I didn't happen to buy a used one and liked it, I would never have bought one. I'm not a hard sell at all, if I like something I can buy it. But the above is what I need to buy it then and there.
The REO site ...I have always wanted a bottom feeder. Actually, it's the most intuitive sounding vape of all. My first step past Bloogs was a MVP2, I like the box mod shape BEST. I have been back to that site at least 10x, and could not figure out what to get. HOW does it work (I STILL don't know, but the Dibi talk is giving me more of an idea). The first page description says I can use it with ANY atomizer or cartomizer... but none of my atomizers have holes in the bottom for a juice feed? Some are solid at the bottom? It says, "once you have your REO set up", without telling you anywhere on the site how that happens. HOW do you 'have it set up', does it come with a magic genie? A sexy pool boy? A talking mouse? A tape recording with directions? What is included in the package? I scratch my head for a while, and leave. If they updated that site, they'd probably get 10x the business.
Just some marketing thoughts for your page... not that you need it for a very long time
