Yes, M.o.N. it does look like a "17". Who knows, maybe everybody's mod has their # mysteriously inscribed somewhere on it.

BTW: to the "numbering pests" :)tongue:) . . .. I am tracking numbers. Each mod is a particular # in the series. I'm still head scratching about how to relay this information. Numbering the mods themselves is . . . . . not practical. Furthermore, these mods are each so unique, they are very readily identifiable. They are more akin to human faces than they are to SS tube mods. The mod IS the identifying mark. (wrap your heads around that one!) :)

Nonetheless, I'm thinking about providing some kind of documentation as to mod #, date, purchaser. These can be mailed out after the fact, so, when I get it all figured, I'll do something about it. (where I'm stuck right now is; how to make the document "unforgeable". Perhaps just a handwritten signature would do the job?)

As long as I'm addressing old topics: Purpleheart is not hard on tools. Never said that. Sometimes, "repeating" what I almost said is more misleading than not saying anything.

Also,
GG: the buttons are gorgeous! Can't wait to see them!

Wax seal would be unforgeable, someone would have to have your exact stamp. Fairly cheap and easy to get a custom stamp you design yourself too (your sig would work). But if the numbers are already somewhere on the mod... that's probably good enough (tho a 'birth certificate' would be neat for collectors, not everyone wants to or can save them, for a lot of extra work for you). Just my thoughts:).

While you have a record of who owns each #, a master number list would have to be published with a photo of each mod for anyone else to know. If it were on the body, they'd know without having to come back and ask you each time:).

As for wood being hard on tools... can't you just post a list of woods you'd prefer not to work with:p?

Security stamps or embosser?

Can someone post a picture of the OliveR with a 22mm atty? If not, do we know if something that wide would fit the top without hanging over the edges?

22 mm = .86 in so I would say yes it would fit without hanging off the edges... unless of course I'm mistaken.

here's a link to the info thread :toast:

IMO wether it's number 1 or number 19,013 it's still 1 bad AYuss mod.

I say we let the brother make mods, us enjoy vaping them (or waiting for them) and not get hung up on shizz like numbers :)

IMO The coolest mods bear no such identification, names, logos, blinking lights, LEDs or displays. They are immediately recognizable and their owners give not a damn about numbers :)

Only the number of them they own. Here's the two that come to mind :)

I personally would just create an image folder, snap a pic of the OliveR before shipping, and number the photos...

why anyone would need a paper of authentication is beyond me....
Your not thinking 20 years out when year 1 mods with papers auction for 6 figures.:D

how about I finish making your mod instead?

. . . . . or should I hold off on that and sit around drawing silly pictures on napkins?

Your choice . . .

:)

As long as you get me mine in a timely manner, you can use the time that you would have spent on HIS mod to make a logo.

I can wait a while to see pictures of my OliveR sibling, once I have mine in hand.
