I bought a Turnigy tester for the little nuisances, since i have tons of them, in all ages and conditions - the ones that are old are not necessarily bad and the ones i use have to be good! HRH can use decent ones.

It will not work out of the box - it's for RC enthusiasts (which i know nothing about, but i got a guy that did to help me!) but it will measure the internal resistance, and that is important for 2 reasons: 1 - it increases as your batteries endure charge cycles until they die; basically they don't hold a charge anymore under load.
2 - it relates to the useable power you can expect from any battery and allows you (well, me really!) to compare claims of manufacturers to real life.
I roll with SX30s, but will be interested in Mundy's report on the LGs.
