Naku bro sayang, had you posted a few weeks ago, we could've hung out! I'm back at work now here in Baghdad. The copper leaf mod is so easy to do. If there's a bakal-bote guy by your place, just ask him to get you a small piece. Sure beats spending and waiting for a kit.

Yes I live here. :) I'm in Pasig, Metro Manila. Are you still around?

I was contemplating doing that too but I decided to wait on Rob's kits. I'm planning on getting new Reos anyway and this one works well enough at the moment. :)

does it help to know it's crossed my mind?

Only if I knew what that meant:).

It meant, while I was working on your mod, I thought to myself, "I guess if I take any more progress pictures, I'll use Glass' mod . .. . since she sort of asked, kin'a". And then I just kept on working.

Are you Filipino bro? I thought our government didn't allow us to go to Iraq? :D

OOOH OOOH, I want one!.... or two.. if no one else is interested :D

So I got a hold of a few (4) SS IGO-Ws to drill out for bf and pass along to the dibi-nation. If anyone wants one with their mod, or just wants a dual coil atty that's all drilled out and ready for BF, shoot me a PM. Cost would be akin to retail, pro'ly under twenny bucks. I thought I'd drill out all four this weekend, and divide the time among them. Anyway, that'll be the bulk of the price, the time spent modding them.

I don't have Noalox (or any anti-oxidant contact grease) available here in my country so I ended up using Vaseline. I still have to file my positive contact every week or so to keep performance up. My positive contact has been worn to a flat end now.

That's strange. How about DeOxit? It is not a grease, but a cleaner/lubricant/protectant used by lots of electronics enthusiasts (radio/audio, etc). Musicians use it with mixer boards, pedals, amps and more. You might even be able to find it in a musical instrument store there.

I couldn't get my hands on Noalox locally and used DeOxit on all my vape gear. It is more expensive than the greases, but works fantastic in our high humidity.

The LG sounds good. I don't mean to dis. it. I just like when the actual Amp rating (really, the max continuous) is touted, rather than . . . . . some random number that's even higher than the burst. . . . .

Also, superlow v-drop and low internal res. are neat; but there's a practical limit, methinks, and $6.99 for well under the practical limit is less than (?) $15.99 (??).

That's why I won't buy batteries from eBay or Amazon. Now that I look, I wouldn't buy anything from that seller. You have to be pretty bad to get a 99% feedback rating with that volume of sales. And it's not just user error complaints.

I gotta tell you... they truly are not impressive next to the Panasonics (2000 mAh vs 2900 mAh, and that's exactly how it plays in duration). I'm not even using em til I get the Dibi, because they aren't very useful in my other mods (but none of my other mods need 20a either). The LG work better (of course, 2500 mAh) in regular mods, but NOTHING beats the Panasonics. I'm assuming this will change with sub ohming tho, since in regulated mods, the mAh matter most.
Didn't I tell you those 2900 mAH Panasonic NCRs were awesome? ;)

I think they'd be fine down to 0.75 ohms or thereabouts. Personally I don't plan to go that low, but then, no plan of battle ever survives contact with the enemy. :D

Got my new spring and longer, more-screw-time brass contact screws yesterday (thanks pdib!). I didn't think I would notice much of a difference, but I was wrong. It is noticeably better! That surprised me since it was already great.

My Dibi is only two weeks old and I've been cleaning/lubing the contacts regularly. No nail files for me! I usually use an eraser or 1500 grit sandpaper. This is the first time I cleaned inside the button and contact plate, but there was plenty of Noalox in there anyway. I didn't measure anything, so I don't have the numbers to post. I trust the numbers posted by others anyway. I doubt it makes a difference, but I washed all the Noalox off and replaced it with NO-OX-ID "A-Special"

In other news, I need to order another BF atty. I have two, but I'm about to drill (or FUBAR) some post holes for my first Mundy Magic coil. Thanks to Mundy's videos and close ups, I was able to make magic wire on the first try. It just won't fit in my Cyclone or RM2 posts. I can't wait to try it, but probably won't get the chance today.
