However, there's no way I'd copper plate an atty. Several reasons: Copper won't stay shiny for long. It inevitably turns brown or green or something, and it's a bloody pain to keep looking decent (unless of course you happen to like the patina). The other thing wrong with a copper plated atty is that some of the compounds that copper forms (particularly the green and blue ones) are poisonous. This would be particularly problematical if your juice were at all acidic..
The blanks that I work with are extremely small, and any inconsistencies are magnified in relation to the size of the material.
