Here's another one I didn't expect to win

Amboyna Burl: 1 3/8" x 2 7/8" x 5 5/8"

They are all beautiful. While the dyed wood really looks great, I'm a fan of natural or "natures" colors. Don't think Mother Natures beauty can be improved by us. Just my opinion though, and it doesn't count since it isn't my wood.

#8, I like the top pix... looks like a cheetah. But looking at the very beautiful bottom pix of it... I can tell you now that Pdib might say it wasn't very solid because it has a few visible holes in it...

So Peter, based on the recent photos this latest run is 12 mods (unless I miscounted)? Is a run still 3 to 4 weeks?

I'm working up to 13 mods per run instead of 10. I'm hoping to be doing 13 mods in a fat 4 weeks.

VH. Don't buy a bunch of Mallee until we know if it will work. Sh_t is hard as glass, and all full of cracks. (might work . . .. no clue . . . . might kill my tools . . . . )

that's my fave, for what it's worth. Very unusual, and yet warm and inviting. You could be strokin' yer wood all day long with that mod in hand.

What do I know from a pic?; but the grain structure tells me that that piece would be quite resilient. I don't think a few holes are gonna slow it down.

I'm not asking due to impatience. I just want to know when that wonderful hole in my wallet would be happening so that I can set aside funds.
