A way off-topic post here, but I'm a bit shy to ask in the Reo sub-forum since I've been pestering Rob about this. I reckon most of us here have Reos, so maybe someone here would know.

Would it be ok to use acrylic or lacquer based clear paints on a Reo? I've been planning to clear coat the silver vein and copper vein mod that's coming my way and I want to make sure neither of these paints would harm the finish.

Thanks!

I can tell you mine has darkened up quite nicely and has become very rich looking. Congrats element77 - you're going to love it!

I know people have used polyurethane on the copper vein with good results.

Yes I read that too. I've started hunting for polyurethane cans but so far have only found acrylic and lacquer based paints that come in clear. I'm just asking this as a fallback just in case all I find are lacquer and acrylic. :)

I got a liter bottle of 100mg nic in the freezer, should last a few years blended down to 15mg, even longer if I go lower on the nic.

I've got 2 liters, but the problem is that will last (assuming it doesn't oxidize) just about long enough for the anticipated 4 years (2 years to actual ruling estimated then 2 years to action) to be over and then real crackdown.

Got to nip it in the bud.
