Now, what I was gonna say . . . when someone asks me what I think about a particular piece, and I express some concerns. . . I'm not just casually blathering. When the reply I get is, "yeah, but . . ", then I try to accommodate. So, if one asks me that, and my response is anything other than " yes, that will be good material " . . . . . then from that point on, one is asking to take a risk. I don't mind risk, but . . . just sayin'

Congrats xobe!
Definitely, definitely getting end caps...

. . . . . . . . :)

So I've had a bot of time with my monkey. what an amazing piece! I really don't want to put it down! Interestingly, my button-tops work better pos-down, but my flats like pos-up. I was having a bit of an intermittent firing issue, but it seems to be a simple fix. I just put a bit of forward or backwards, or sideways, or whatever pressure on the button which makes sure the silver touches the aluminum. no need for additional sanding.

I'm so glad to hear that you don't have to squat out there in the hot sun, with desert sands being blown into your plumber's crack, sanding down your top-plate hole-bottom.

(like some of my other victims do)

I glued a round cab on top of my button, and now I don't have to pinch the bottom, for some reason, that fixed the problem... I think because it's round, it applies more even pressure than my finger does. Anyway, my problem's fixed:).

I think pdib's been working on your mod since you ordered it monkey:p.

It shows too. This thing is beyond words. I can see all the extra work he had to put into this thing to make it work. I'm thinking that the simian is currently Pete's definition of "Custom PITA"

I am so glad I have it here, but this is certainly going to be my end of day coffee and a vape mod until I get home. I was scared chitless all day that I was going to drop it... And i can tell you, i think it would shatter like glass with a good fall. I drop my woodvil at LEAST once a day.

Hoping my "fabulous" SL's will arrive in the next day or so. I enjoy beating on my reos... They seem to get more awesome the more beat up they are!

I do know that at this point, I have FAR too many! I'm done buying mods until I get my hands on another Oliver. By the time that happens, i'll likely be living in Germany.

In other news, one of my counterparts here is a degreed chemist. I bought him a box and created a monster... But a good one! He is going all scientific on my NEMP and helping me develop a new formula that will bump it from approximately 92-95% vg to about 99% vg, while at the same time getting a cleaner extract than it's primal predecessor.

We extracted an Acid cigar today after we shut down the clinic. Going to do a bit of blending over the next few days and see if we have succeeded or not.

Oh yeah... And the doc found a strange abnormality in the back of my throat a month or so ago when I was sick... Today he asked to see my throat for chits and giggles.... Welp, not sick anymore, but the abnormality is still there. Going to be going for a biopsy in the near future if it doesn't go away... Here's hoping that smoking from 10-34 years old wasn't the cause of whatever it is. I have many more years of poo-flinging left in me!

That is all. 0230... I think i'll sleep now.

I'll leave you with a puppy to negate that last tidbit of information... YAY PUPPIES!

segue . . . .. .

funny. today's the day i remember how much i love makin' stuff. Starting to see a pattern here. And, although I get a real kick out of showing finished mods, sending them out, getting some feedback, . . . . . it's always about a week into the next run, when things quiet down and I'm just working, making pretty stuff, that I start to feel truly quiet and happy.

Great feeling isn't it? I sometimes get the same feeling when wiring a machine control system, or laying out a wiring harness.

The great thing is that your enjoying the labor involved making these amazing mods as much as we all love the looks and performance (well anticipated performance for those of us on waiting list). Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the next batch, besides it will mean I'm one step closer on the journey of getting my own, and at the rate your improving them who knows what all will be included from the experience of prior runs.

I pray that it turns out to be nothing. I had a bit of a scare the other day when I woke up at 3 am coughing non stop. I was coughing out clear fluid and immediately I thought I had MERS. I thought of going straight to medical when they open that morning but my cough subsided an hour later and it didn't come back.

anyway, I hope this cheers you up monkey man :D
