I would have had it but my GD windshield just up and shattered. We were sitting inside and all of a sudden there was a huge crash and I ran outside to figure out what happened, and the windshield broke! No rocks or any other sign of debris, all I can figure is the cold just finally happened to it. :( sucks to drive in the cold so I figured I would do that instead of getting my dibi:(

Have you checked with your insurance company?? I think windshield is covered under 'comprehesive', not even collision (I'm not sure since I have both). There's no strike against your insurance and no deductible with some companies (State Farm is what I have)... I've had 2 windshield replacements in the last 5 years, and the most recent was a really expensive rear windshield with the wipers/embedded heater/defrost coils in curved tempered glass. And it doesn't raise your rates, the glass companies come out with your new windshield and put it on at your house, you don't even have to go anywhere...

I THINK that windshield replacements must be covered by law, because most policies have em. You should check before you shell out the thousand or so for no reason.

I believe that is a state by state situation. I know I was pleasantly surprised by it when I move to FL.

Well I guess I will have to call my insurance company. But as I have already given up the spot I'll have to wait patiently for my turn again. :)

Took the plunge, I'm on the list for run #7. Was looking at either a stingray or nemmy for my first high end mod but gonna wait and pop my.hem cherry with a Dibi:)

wise choice. out of all of the different juice delivery systems out there, manual bottom feeding is the best delivery system to date when it comes to serious vaping, and this oliver dibi thing is probably the best hitting mech bottom feeder out there right now, not to mention one of the best looking... and the rounded corners.... much more rounded than most box type bottom feeders.

that was one of the things I liked about my Vmod, real piece of crap that was, but it felt so good in the hand. like 2 tubes side by side VS 2 square blocks. like pete has said, curve your paw in the shape of a grip and what do you see? I really like the feel of side by side tubes which is basically what this is.... don't get me wrong, the boxier mods can also feel very good in the hand too, but side by side tubes feels slimmer and more compact, because it is slimmer, and more compact :)

Actually, the list shifting has as much or more to do with people requesting custom mods out of materials they have acquired. The current mods were already in the making when I first posted; so, custom requests defaulted to run#2.

Sorry about your windscreen, IMEDIC.

It's all good. Life happens and it's getting fixed so no worries there. :) I'm just glad I didn't hold it up!

Can't raise rates, maybe.... but there are ways to cut their losses.
State Farm took away my option for zero deductible after 3 windshields within one year.
(My drive to town back then went by 2 quarries)
Still covered, but had a deductible of about 2/3'rds the cost of a windshield.
Wasn't my agent, but corporate. (According to him)
That was 1986 so things might be different now, but it is why I went elsewhere.

Now, back to your regularly shedulded programming.

Pdib, got my LP RM2 and have 2 triangles coming to play with along with modifying my Stratus Dripper if time allows so good timing on the upcoming finish of the run.

Looking forward to putting it through the paces and reporting back.

Quick question, have you tried Orbtronics SX30's? (They are a hair longer than AW's)

Those Orbies aren't the size they say they are. It'll work. You might have to do a little tweaking, remove a nylon washer or two, file down the head of the + contact screw, but it'll work. Seriously tho, do you want me to set you up for standard length batts, or make room for 66.5mm and let you shim your way back down?

Oh, and SuperTrunker? . . . . . .. . same question, I guess. You guys are both perfectly capable of making whatever adjustments so . . . .. . .

So Turbo, you looking at a mosfet, or something more involved?

I just do this thing where my brain sends a magic invisible silent signal (don't even have to tell it to . . . mind you) down to my thumb, and then my thumb contracts by about 3mm. It's like autopilot!

I just put an Orbitronics SX30 in there. Just got a fresh batch. SuperTrunker peaked my interest. Had to make a little room by taking the spacer out from under the firing button - but works like a charm. :)

pdib - are there more threads if I take the last spacer out of the bottom cap screw at the other end?

Taking out only one spacer leaves you with a nice short/easy throw on the fire button. I like it!:w00t:

I have 2 new Orb's that I was going to use in the 20A mod, but work has prevented me from doing anything further with it. They wont quit fit in the Reo with the full size fuse mod. I will get you the measurement tonight and then we can hash it out. My AW's seem to be getting a little shorter on vape time after use and abuse for 8 months or so and the Orb's are 2100mah anyway. Haven't seen a curve on them though.

yea - I really like it like it is, and I'm leaving it like that because I like it that way. I'm still asking about the bottom battery contact - the screw in the bottom cap - because I'm thinking most other folks might be more comfortable with a little more button throw. Right now its like a hair trigger - very light and short.

Are there enough threads in there to take remove that last spacer and bottom it out?

Also - can the spring under the fire button be stretched out a little to firm up the pressure needed to push the button?

I'm thinking other folks might have the same questions in the near future.

Addt: I just confirmed its not much trouble to carefully stretch the spring a little to firm up the button stroke. It was so light, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't vaping without me. 8-o
It also resulted in slightly more throw. It's really dialed in perfect now.

Thank you pdib - this thing really is a modders dream. I can't wait to see what other folks come up with in the near future.

I am a FIRM believer in well, being firm... or at least the option of being firm... There have been many instances of being accused of being infirm. I was unable to either confirm or deny? Go figure... :?:
