i like the engraving on a caravela but i reckon a Poldiac has it stuffed as far as conductivity goes, which explains why i see so few for sale.

Actually I'd say between the two, Caravela is the better mechanical. Not sure if anyone would argue this with me - voltage drop on the Caravela was shown to be in top three best of all the high end mods the last time someone ran comprehensive tests (although the methods used to conduct the tests were flawed).

It's my humble opinion that a Dibi can bridge that gap, since i prefer bottom fed mechanical mods.

Yes. Bottom feeding is a brilliant idea who's time has come and Dibis are beautiful as well as functional. The only missing piece is a reliable supply of stabilized burl from which the customer can choose - a wide variety of colors and patterns in the right size, etc. But that will come in time.

Well, I know most of you guys hung out together on the REO forum... I don't have a REO, and this would be my first bottom feeder ever. Soooo... pix or it never happened.

(uh... the Olympic rings... um... actually, it looks somewhat like my coils after I covered them from the outside of the coil rather than the inside with cotton balls to see if I could get better juice flow in the Kayfun ).

I'm not sure if I really want to see THAT one

someone still needs to convince this old retired electrical engineer that heating up/cooling off a freakin heating coil at those PWM frequencies can actually affect the vape. it still comes down to proper adjustment.

Maybe its the electromagnetic flux ionizing the vapor particles?

HRH is my wife a.k.a. Smurf! She quit when i did and now occasionally peers over my shoulder to ooh and ahh over things i like on here. She has (almost) as many mods as i do and since i recoil them all, i usually get bombed with atomisers on a Sunday.

She has grovelled her way to some gear from Dibby in the past - the combination lock button top for example. She makes exceptional apple pie.

That is a mechanical dear. Lol I would just make sure you get some of the recommended batteries here and start measuring the volts on them as you vape.

The case might be a mechanical but the Evolv Kick that's in it makes it a regulated, variable watt device, so it is no longer a mechanical.

GG, did it not come with a spacer to replace the kick and turn it back into a mechanical?

It's humor man... Were just yanking your chain...
Fact of the matter is, no. We're not just trying to satisfy our nic habit. We've done that. Now were enjoying a pleasant hobby with some beautiful creations by fellow vapors and board members who we consider good people and friends. Like any situation like that, antics ensue. If you're just looking for a nic fix there are less expensive ways, definitely- but they won't be better. Bottom fed is the best and simplest way, and besides the Oliver Dibi there is only one other currently in production I'd care to use every day- and most of the people here know who and what I'm talking about.


By the way... Saying the name like that reminds me of those high end eyeglasses, Oliver Peoples (?)
