I'd like to know the number for mine as well once it's made, but I won't be marring the beautiful wood with my feeble attempt to put it on. Stupid shakey me!:glare:

Sorry peter I think I may have started another trend you don't like :(
I promise it wasn't my intention! Lol

You bet, that particular one is a Sansui G-6700 which resides in the music room.
I have a beautiful marantz 2215 which keeps the tunes rolling in the garage (aka man cave).
My baby rocks away safely within the confines of the master bedroom (where no kids are allowed :) ) a Pioneer sx1250.
All are pushing vintage speakers that match the age and quality of the receiver pushing them.
Unfortunately for my wallet high end bottom feeder mods are not my only hobby.

Too cool!

I have a Sansui TU-X1 tuner. It needs a little tlc and I don't use it much any more but I love having it. Very rare piece. I also have vintage Sansui intergrated amps: AU-G99X and AU-D7. These old vintage pieces produce a great listening experience even by today's standards. They have lighted bouncing power level indicators that are just a delight to see.

I hear you on the hobby thing. I too have the audio sickness....Magnepan and KEF speakers, Odyssey and Imotiva amps, HSU and NHT subs. There's been so many pieces in and out of the listening room that I can't even remember them all. Luckily my wife understands my weakness for vaping, audio and photo gear:toast:.

Try jumping off a bridge, and not telling everyone else you're using a stretchy bungee cord ;-p
Lmao

If I do burn a number in it I promise I'll do it inside, so no one can see.

Like abuse, or self mutilation :) lol

Man I'm going to hell aren't I? Lmao

Yea, I won't burn numbers in my wood either but "pdib #0001" sure looks good with it.

.. or how about an indent carved in the bottom to press fit a dog tag?.

..I know you don't like trends Pdib, but for us, your loyal customers, we hold a lot of value to being one of the first ones to get a DiBi. Should the time come that your operation gets bigger and eventually improved
the product to let's say DiBi ver.6S ; we would be the proud few to show your 'legacy woods'.

...oooh I almost forgot.... DiBi Dance Time!!!...oooooh yeaaahhh

Here's another random fact for y'all. One of my mods suddenly doesn't have a destination. Best of luck to the person, they've decided to try and quit vaping. It's this Olive wood mod.

What I want to do is open it up for whomever may want it; however, if that's more than one person in the next day or so, it'll be the person nextest on the list. PM please, if interested.

Welp that'll teach me not to go out on Tuesday nites. Stupid Karaoke.

Your avatar caught my attention, too! I have my Dad's old quadrophonic Sansui QR-4500 that used to really rock. It needs a couple of transistors, though. Only 2 channels available. Not sure when that happened since the rear speakers aren't here.

I only had a few quad tapes back then, but one of them was Deep Purple's Machine Head. Wore that tape out. No, they didn't release it on a reel, yes it was 8-track.

That's a sweet unit. The QR series was the top of the line back in the early 70's. I bet it still sounds great with some good high sensitivity speakers.

Mama, you know ima have to make a coil video and demo the oliveR for this bunch. I'll use my new coil wrapper too:

I'm fortunate enough to have two friends that make the only mods I'd even consider owning. One friend makes the only ones I've ever used and the other makes the oliveR. My vaping life couldn't be better.

Now, back to my regularly scheduled episode of "how am I gonna tell my wife I got an oliveR"

I have one of those! My sister gave it to me - she uses it for making jewelry. Makes perfect coils. The nut is a great fix for holding the wire leg - big improvement over the binder clip that I've been using.

These older "vintage" units were built to last and most can out perform the modern crap that is being produced. Give me a quality 70's 40 watt marantz or sansui with a nice set of acoustic research 2axs and I am in heaven. Of course I own more LP's than CD's so what do I know? :D

Once I cleaned the pots, it does sound good - stereo only. I need to replace a couple of power transistors (and maybe some caps) before I try to hook up buy two more speakers. It's not high on my list of things to do, though. My primary system is one of those newfangled 5.1 that sits nicely in my entertainment center.

And I don't have any quad recordings anymore, or even a quad stylus for the turntable. Lost all my vinyl years ago, too. I do turn it on now & again for nostalgia's sake - and the radio tuner beats everything else in the house!
