Yep, it is! And it's a prettier one even for figures (but not as nice colors as peacock):).

Mmm... you said it, although I like the golden highlights that is in box elder burl once dyed/stabilized. Both species are in the same family of wood asher, acker, aser, acer I don't know something like that, I can't remember... duh?

So Pdib, can we have a DiBi made of richlite? Would that be considered a PITA custom or is it fairly easy for you to work with?

Damn you Val!!! *shakes fist*

Val isn't the first one to ask that question.. heck, I think I was the second one to ask (curious about a "MilSpec" version, extremely durable type).

Edit: AWWWWW, NEVERMIND...:( I was hoping it'd be more durable

wow... I didn't know this about richlite.

Richlite is among the most environmentally sustainable products on the market. The pulp used in Richlite comes from paper purchased from FSC-Certified sources. Richlite also offers two products that contain recycled content: r50 contains 50% old corrugated cardboard (post-consumer waste), and r100 is made with 100% recycled paper (post-consumer waste) and is certified by FSC.
Richlite comes in several colors, and the sheets are available in a variety of lengths and widths. The product is worked like wood, we can shape different edge profiles, and seam together sheets for long countertop runs. Undermount sinks can be used with Richlite, and the material is food safe. Richlite looks great and performs well under the toughest conditions, whether used for industrial or residential purposes.

I was just trying a Richlite body on this current run. It didn't work out. In trying to bore out the 3/4" diam. holes (battery/juice bottle tubes), I found that it got so hot that it cracked. I was going slow, taking little bites; but to no avail.

Were you doing a one shot bore with the 3/4", or did you slowly oversize the holes over time (meaning start out with a small diameter, then step up a size or two, then step up again, repeat until at 3/4)?

No need for independence - they are awesome mods. I think of them as go anywhere do anything mods. I've getting another woodvil here real soon too.

But there is definitely space in my vape life for a mod as brilliant and beautiful as my OliveR. I take it allot of places but I just don't see myself taking it out on a night hike thru the woods / crossing creeks. Or bouncing around in my belt pack when I'm riding dirtbikes. Or sitting beside me during an oil change on my golf cart.

Nor do I need it out in the yard waiting for me on the steps when I'm working out there / cutting the grass.

I will always have a need for REOs and as good as my OliveR is, I'm developing a big attachment to it too :)

So you are making box mods with bottom feeding?

When all is said and done, will this gain you independence from REO's, or will you still buy them?

I know you guys like your REO's, but what is the difference with these? Different case materials and finishes?

The parts that carry the current are more robust in some key areas; and rather than employing a hot spring, it utilizes a low resistance fuse.

What is a box mod? This is an ellipse mod. Is that a box mod? It has a lid. Boxes have lids. It doesn't have corners tho. Boxes have corners.

. . . .. hard to say.
