Just chiming in while on the road to say I need one of those springs before there all claimed, I've been googling all over for silver or gold plated copper springs :) I'd be happy to buy my own if I could find something but haven't yet

just dropping by to say I made a note of ↑ that on a little scrap of paper. :)

There's enough for a little while here. Just not enough to start throwing them around.

I'm not sure that nicotine thru skin is as effective as you think, because if absorption of stuff thru skin were so effective all the anti-ageing gear my mrs uses would make her about 24!

Besides, compared to smoking, e-cigarettes are a rather inefficient method, which is why i vape all day every day and all the "i'm now at 4mg" threads, i just go "cool", but i'll never manage it!

Hmmm.. Not sure of the science here, but I think actually that the nicotine delivery system from vaping is more efficient than cigarettes. When I smoked, it was full flavor menthol Marlboro (before that, Benson and Hedges), and I could easily smoke an entire cigarette without feeling any nicotine overload sensations. Even two cigarettes in a row wouldn't give me overload. But with vaping at sub ohm levels, if I increase nic content to over 3 mg, after only 6-10 drags, I get the jitters, headaches, sleeplessness, etc.

And how many drags are you taking? And how? For e cigs, nicotine absorption is actually done most efficiently through the mouth and nasal cavities, not the lungs.

I lung inhale for maximum cloudage. Which would underscore my point even more, since there is less time for the nicotine to absorb through the mouth tissue, and almost no time at all in the nasal tissue.

I wish I bookmarked more. I remember reading a university study stating that we get 1 - 2 mg of nicotine per cigarette. I started out with 18 mg with vaping to get close to that cig TH but my lungs started to hurt by the end of the day. I'm now mixing 6mg with 0 nic.

I always pull into my mouth then inhale to my lungs and exhale through my nose slowly. 6mgs is more than enough for me!

15mg all day long here and been that way for a while, but running 1.3-1.5 ohms and only 10-12 watts using R91 and a KFL+. Sometimes, late in the evening I'll drip some 6 in an Igo-L.

Yes, I'm a BF virgin -- I keep looking at REOs but have never seen one in stock that spoke to me and said "buy me". Sorry, I digress.

I suspect there's a relationship between the amount of power being put into an atty and the amount of nic the body can get from each hit?

I need two pdib's and my 2 Woodvils... That's all. Next year, my sons goes to school a svu stop paying for ecig stuff- except stuff to make my juice and wicking/ wire- and I'm done. $4,200 a year means super priorities, and I'd rather have a crappy vape than a dumb, uneducated child. So hope I'm there by than! Lol

Ok, real quick since my HRH is calling (so far gently)

Cleaned all connections, applied Noalox sparingly (it is not very conductive although it does have Zink in it) since all it needs to do is prevent oxidation, made a copper center pin out of a piece of #6 (Edit: might have been #4 I will check tomorrow) bare wire with a 10-32 die, had to take a 10-32 tap to OliveR as far as I could get it in from both ends to get the new center pin in comfy but not real tight, installed the bottom screw and tightened down the center pin snug, installed the extra spring pdib provided which is stouter, adjusted the nylon screw up top, and..................

Fresh SX30 unloaded 4.22V
.7 ohm coil in RM2
SX30 under load 4.06V
At posts of RM2 4.01V

My deity folks, that is a .05V mod drop on a fresh battery with a .7 ohm coil on a wood mod with a fuse!!!!!!

You just can't ask for any better than that, since I measured .0415V of that .05V mod drop across the fuse this time leaving about .01V for the mod itself!

BTW if the center pin is really tight, don't attempt to remove it.
Pdib told me he broke the whole center out of one that was seized trying to get it out.
Was kinda scary after hearing that, but I did it anyway.

Night all
