quitting smoking = gaining weight.
It didn't in my case. Oh, I'm sure it would if I'd "quit" any other way, but being able to vape delicious flavors, I think I actually snack less than when I was smoking.

I was never fat but had a few more excess pounds around my mid-section that I would have liked. Then last fall (a while before I started vaping) I cut a considerable amount of the carbs out of my diet. I'm not OCD about it, but where a meal would previously consist of a meat, a starch, and a vegetable, the starch is gone, replaced by larger portions of meat and vegetable. By simply avoiding most starchy carbs and otherwise eating as much and as often as I want, I've dropped from ~185 to ~170 over a period of months. To go further (which I don't feel is necessary) I'd probably have to get the sugar out of my coffee and I'm not prepared to do that. Substituting vaping for smoking had no zero effect on my weight. In fact, it may have helped.

It's why I vape sooooo much juice

How much is "
sooooo much"? I'm going through 6-10 ml a day.

Just as I thought, good stuff gdeal! does the clone have adjustable center pin like some claim?

EDIT: Think the diameter is 19mm at the base, tad wider with the AFC ring.

No. That slot in the bottom of the pin is just to help align the wire hole. The plastic insulator has a lip that the head of the center pin rests on. I guess you could adjust it up/down if you need with a shim etc...but the stock height is perfect. 19mm confirmed.

I cut sugar out of my coffee, since I must maintain weight at/below a certain standard (damned military regs!). I use Splenda now, took a little while to get used to it, but I prefer it now. Love the B-vitamin version, while they made it. I use the monkfruit version now, works great!

No interest in adjustable center pin. I like to find ones that do not have it was the reason I was asking. Currently really enjoying the Reactor RBA I modded for BF. Might try one of these atomic clones out for fun.

Same...If I want something sweet I vape it instead of eating it which due to my hypoglycemia means I must eat something with protein then I want something sweet again and so it goes. My blood sugar levels have never been so consistent!

I've been looking at the magma but honestly I'm a little concerned about the vertical airflow, it will flood if over squonked as any fluid over the deck height will see those air holes as a drain, and it won't suck back once you see the first glimmer of juice, it will instead just leak and leak till it stops, might get annoying... I'm also not loving the million showing holes in the afc ring, looks sloppy... I bought an origen V2 which is similar in that it has the 2 wells but it uses a much nicer looking afc setup and uses high mounted side air inlet so it's awesome for squonking, I can squonk it to death and nothing will come out of the air holes...

I will pick up a magma eventually I'm sure because if I remake the ring from copper with only one hole it would look sick on the dibi, but I'm not so into clones so I'll wind up getting a real one I think... maaybe pick up a clone just to try it first? ah I'd rather just get a real one I think but I'm concerned it may not be so great with BF...

here is the origen V2 on the dibi, this one has an optional BF center pin kit so it is BF out of the box, I really like it on the dibi but the only thing I don't like is it makes it a bit top heavy so it falls over more easily than with a lighter atty... this one is 22mm and pretty heavy, a bit bulky on a sleak dibi but not bad at all really, I like the way it looks :)

this is dual 26ga, 13 wraps each at 1/16"id, total is .39 ohms and it is really kicking nicely... this atty is intended for vertical coils but same way I didn't like Z coils in the chalice is same way I didn't like verts in this one so I went with my standard horizontal long micro's and it's awesome for me, same way the chalice is awesome for me with a standard horizontal coil :)

I think the only bottom air flow atty that is well suited to BF is the immortalizer, that one works well because even though the air holes are under the coil and get fluid in there regularly, the actual airhole inlets are in the outer sleeve, up much higher than the coil so it doesn't flood the air chamber and leak from the air inlets like I think a magma probably will. yes it does flood the air chamber but once you draw on it that gets sucked back into the coil chamber so it doesn't leak the fluid out, and even the immo I had to raise the holes a bit in that outer sleeve so it wouldn't leak constantly when squonking, the magma may suck when it comes to this and there isn't anything that I can see that can be done to fix that

Well, I've gained nearly 10 lbs since I started vaping... and are seriously thinking of adding a cig or 2 to my diet again every day! LOL! But I won't because I want my husband to quit, and don't want him to have any excuses.

I never ate much carbs ... AND eliminated all the soda I drank daily from my diet, and started to stuff myself with salads (never liked salads much) and STILL managed to gain a ton of weight. It's not snacking that is causing the weight gain. I think smoking interferes with nutrient absorption or something, and once you stop, you're getting all the nutrients you're not supposed to in our overly well fed society.

How much do I vape? I have been cutting down and are at 3 bottles of juice a day (bottle = REO sized bottles, so 4ml each?). I was at about 5 a day. I typically do 12 mg nic juice now.

Not to discourage but I have lost 32 lbs since I quit smoking and started vaping. I did make the decision that if I was doing one I was doing the other and both took effort but it is possible.

This past weekend, we were at a vape meet. I won the CASSA gift basket. Included within was an Ego starter kit. I would be most willing to make that available to anyone. THIS
dreadnaut-mod-by-tactical-workz.png
was also included in the basket, but it is not out for loaners yet. *g*

What is it?

Can the Origen V2 be bought as a BF or kit sold separately? I've been looking for something bigger than the RM2 that holds more juice when squonking.
I have long nails so the less I have to squonk the better & I'm not in a position to mod an atty for BF'g.
If anything I'd LOVE to have my Trident modded but can't do it myself.

far as I know it's sold as a dripper and then there's an optional bf kit that was like another $17 or so. it consists of a drilled pin and new nuts, one of which is relieved a bit at it's seat so it can pass fluid. the only thing is, I think you'sd still have to actually install the bf pin yourself unless someone is selling it as already converted... not sure haven't really looked

and yeah it feeds from right above the deck and the wells will fill and then not drain back... I've taken it apart and and considering modding it... this is the deck removed from the base... my plan would be to make an insert that reduces the well volume quite a bit, making it much like a big fat rm2, for bf there is no advantage to a well that holds a lot of juice to me, I like total suckback :)

That's nifty looking:)! But I don't like total suckback, I don't want to squonk all the time, it just weakens the plastic bottle and risks breaking it up internally so I'm vaping plastic faster.

I think the scariest weak link in bottom feeders is the juice bottle. It has to be squishy plastic, and squishy plastics tend to be the most easy to affect with the flavor oils. Squeezing it all the time just enhances the deterioration speed and risk.

Wait, what? Can that actually happen? some of bottles I use are close to a year old
