They're really just to help me transition the digital brain to the shop brain. By the time they land in their boxes, I'm almost done with them.

Yeah makes sense. Before the age of QR codes, they used to have a list of every option that would go to a particular car. It was taped off somewhere in the interior so that factory workers can simply look at it and know whether the car would get heated seats, a particular radio, an automatic transmission or a manual, etc. Usually, they'd keep building until these sheets would get covered up under the interior.

At our car club, we used to refer to these build sheets to see what was later added on the car and which ones were factory installed.

I was really surprised that you showed the dyed ones in this state since you had previously been concerned that people might misconstrue them for being chalky looking when they were finished.

I'm so glad you did!

I guess I'm less concerned now. I still prefer to post images that don't need explanation ("not ready yet"); but I think there's enough images out there now that there wouldn't be confusion due to a few less than stellar ones.

The first time I saw my first dibi mostly done I may have gotten a bit misty eyed.

I love to see how they transform over the whole process! I got to show off my Dibi to anyone who stopped me to ask what I was vaping. Also got a beautiful glass tip for my walnut and one for my next one too. I'd post pics but they won't show the iridescence or color very well. Just trust me, they are beautiful!

And anyone want some ramie? I'm nutty that I like the taste of cotton with my juice so the ramie didn't hit for me...

The only thing I had planned was a vapefest here in Denver and the arrival of my ramie. I wish I knew how to spin as this stuff is SO silky and soft I just want to roll in it... Vaping it now and not sure about it but going to give it a go before I roll in it.

Here's an update. Anybody remember the Zenith rumors earlier in this thread? SavePaperVapor turned me on to Crescent Moons Facebook page that shows a sneak peak of the up and coming rumored Zenith bottom feeding center pin upgrade.

I posted that "rumor" about 3 months ago. They were supposed to start production then but they got swamped with the high demand for the Zeniths. Even now they're still struggling to keep up with the demand. Well last week I contacted CMII and told them to reserve me a couple of Zeniths with BF. The owner pm'd back saying that it's not quite ready for production and offered me a pin to "beta test" when I get there in a few weeks.

.... only one problem tho..... I DON'T HAVE A FREAKIN' DIBI TO TEST IT ON!!!

... anybody wanna loan me one? I'll DHL it back to you after a week beta testin...

I'm thinking non-stabalized so it retains some flexibility. What are your thoughts pdib? I'm still a ways out for my #2 but I am searching for that bestest, strongest, durable, and hearty wood.

Yeah, I think all promo systems are jacked up right now. All branches are culling bodies, and not backfilling those positions. I got guys that work for me trying to make 6, and they saw my 7 results... now they are worried.

Good luck to you though, guys in your type of job SHOULD get promo'd.

I'm knocking back a Guinness as we speak. Watching the smoker, think of my Dad, Granddad, uncle, brother, and brother in law, and nephews. All have served or are currently serving to protect my freedom to do what I am doing right now.
