ya know, I kick myself every day for coming over here and saying, "hey, theres a dibi in the classys." instead of just pouncing on it and figuring out how to pay my bills later. ugh

Well, I don't have any denatured, but I do have some 151 Everclear. It brings out much more of the contrast I would expect to see with an oil or wax finish. However, it doesn't last long and it's difficult to capture, especially in the poor lighting I have available right now. But here are the edges anyway:

BTW, I'm not fixated on using this particular piece when my turn comes up in run number 7; I'm just wondering if this is a worthy candidate. Although I love the look of some of the dyed and stabilized woods, I'm not sure I'd be crazy about the feel of them in my hand. If something is made of wood and meant to be touched, I want it to feel like wood, and I have doubts that the stabilized pieces will?

Speaking of checking wood...

Quite a while back, I picked up this piece of black walnut crotch:

It's 2-1/8 x 1-1/2 x 6-1/8, which I think should be big enough. I'd kinda like to get a better feel for what it would look like finished, but I'm afraid to put anything on it other than to slightly dampen it (which is what I did for those pics). Any feedback appreciated.

Here is the full four sides of my walnut in the sun...(And of course it's even more beautiful in person) Do the Walnut Rossum, it is just so stunning!!!

There was a request for more pics, and I just couldn't leave her home alone, so I had to bring her to the office to meet my friends... lol. Loving this thing, I think that there may be something intangible with this mod? I've never loved an inanimate object as much; nor have I ever felt the love in return! Ahhh-mazing!!!
