That is looking SO good! I'm really happy with that! :toast:

Ernest: copper is going to patina. If you give it a quick buff now and again, you can keep it pretty shiny. Probably rather frequent buffing in tropical climes.

Regarding the copper conundrum (quick to patina/discolor): grab a little Wright's anti-tarnish polish. If you just put a tiny drop on a soft towel, and rub, rub, rub your copper gear, it stays looking like a new penny... plus it's kind of fun and meditative. Works on brass as well.

Can you put a polished finish on my Nuppin?

What is that saying?......photos or it didn't happen.

Just teasing you Peter even though I enjoy seeing WIP photos.

While we are on the topic of drip tips, I have a rather long winded question.
Bear in mind this is coming from a fng.
Sometimes when drawing on the Reo I get a hot hit. Just enough to make me jump a bit.
and...sometimes both hot and a bit of juice.

Would a longer drip tip prevent or diminish the hot hits?
If the inner bore of the drip tip was larger at the end next to the atty, then the top half of the tip a smaller bore, would the excess juice get stopped where the step from large to small bore occurs? (not sure if I am making sense)

If the answer is yes to these do you know where to get something like that?
or....could you make one? I have a birthday coming up in October so you'll have plenty of time.
I already know what I will be getting for Christmas.

There are trippy tips shaped like a donut that prevent juice from getting in your mouth. I'm sure they would work with spitting and popping too. Is that happening with our RM2? I'm not having that issue with mine and have found I don't need to use the donuts on my RBA.

Hey my bdays in October too!

It is just a sporadic thing with the spitting. Very likely because I use it a lot in dusty conditions and probably get some down in the atty. The juice on my lips has been more during the 100f+ weather. I was curious about drip tip design that might address this.

Not sure why but most of the friends I have, tend to be October/November birthdays.

Gee, look at that! There you are now, Mundisimus!

I clicked on the wrong place and saw these.
Did I ever mention how much fun it is to see WIP photos?
Not the trade secret stuff, just the pretty pictures.

Somebody wanted pics. I did a very short enlarging of the hole at the bottom, a 4mm hole up the middle, and made sure the bottom didn't run any deeper into the atty than the collar it sits in. I'm not getting any juice travelling up the tip, vape is cool, tip is cool. All my other tips were dragging the juice up and depositing it in my mouth and on my lips. I was shooting for something fat and tall(ish). This one is 7/8+" above the atty.

Ok - i'll get slaughtered likely for this blasphemy, but that never stopped me before - the slot on the copper Nuppin looks to have a slant on it that the others don't. The left side looks lower.

And Dibby's drip tips are looking much better! There must be a list for those too someplace.

I used to play Crib - a load of us used to play for money in a pub/bar every Friday. 15-2, 15-4.... but it led to too many fights, a great deal of swearing and so on.

So we limited the stakes and then had no more angry wives coming in "omg - you are gambling all your wages playing crib and we haven't shopped yet..". I never knew who i felt most sorry for, the wife or the husband. Some of those women could throw a vicious left.

Very Cool Peter!
Thanks for posting the photos.
but those colors???? Maybe you could paint it or something. (just teasing you)

Yeah, I didn't choose for color. It was a scrap of stabilized that wasn't good for anything else. It's not my personal favorite for color. Now that I know where I'm going with it, I might make a couple out of some special material . . . .. . (i seem to recall an undersized chunk of Ringed Gidgee)
