I been vaping 11 mths now- 7 with mths with GG products. To me GGs are the best engineered products out there, but it was that in combination with great communication that drew me into a GG addiction. The Official GG site, the wiki, and especially this forum are to me just as much part of my GG experience as my GG devices.
I ordered a penny from COV and glad to hear from Bruce that I might still able to toss it in my sticking and pretend Imeo works in Santa's workshop. But I would have preferred seen a COV announcement in a thread for such announcements instead of being buried in this thread.
Imeo's controls this space that is devoted to promoting his products and to further that goal has the prerogative,nay, the responsibility of exerting that control by closing threads, deleting posts, etc... But us customers provide the majority of its content and view the space as ours.
It should also be a place were we bring our problems and frustrations; where they can be addressed, commiserated with, and hopefully resolved.
Threads help us organize our concerns.
Although a certain amount of different issues bleeding onto threads of a different topic is unavoidable, recently it seems to be rampant in regards to the topic non gratis. Hopefully this can find a resolution soon.

I think Yankee brought up a very good point and I can tell you I had many PMs when I had my problem with my Odysseus base. I kept being told that all I had to do was this or that and I was very frustrated, basically made to feel I was making waves. I also got some posts from people telling me they also had problems with inferior machining , finish and fit problems.... I appreciated the support but it did not help me because no one publicly supported my findings.

I think a company like this, with its excellent reputation of build, performance support needs to address that there are sometimes "problems" either in production or finish etc. These are pieces that are produced my a machine that is programmed by a human. Mistakes happen , its normal.

WHen there is a problem device or part, of course a rare thing one should not feel hesitant , afraid, embarrassed to tell others that it might be defective. It seems some people will come on and offer some possible fixes or try to help you if its a user error, but sometimes its just defective. It should not be taken as an insult, no one is taking out the white gloves and slapping the GG community and starting a duel. It was so frustrating to be told that its normal for me to have to struggle with parts, to force things on , to get other than the standard sized orings etc. WHen these items are as they are priced, with the reputation of being the best, it should work. If it doenst work then its a defect and after some usual suggestions for possible fixes are depleted then it should be replaced or refunded.

I know that Imeo does replace or fix things for some, but others like me I really felt like I was committing some sort of blasphemy to suggest that it could be defective.

Finally, after all that frustration we all found that it was in a way defective because the item was changed with out thought of compatibility to the other parts that needed to be used with it.

I dont mean to be a trouble maker and maybe because Im not as hardcore as some of the GG collectors but I love the atomizers, I have 4 Odysseus's , 1 Penelope and Ody Dripper. I think Im pretty satisfied, in fact extremely happy. But dont tell me something is normal when I have 6 rebuildable units and many parts. I have 4 other bases and then tell me that all 3 new bases I got are perfect and the parts I have are the problem. It was not fair to make me look like a trouble maker or inept. I dont even feel like I got a real apology.

If I was not already a fanatic of Odyssues this might have really left a bad taste for the GG atties especially having heard that they are the best of the best of the best and that the machining and finish is like none out there. Really? If these bases would have been my first eperience I would have said it was not true. But I know what GG is and should be and these last parts were not up to the standards.

I dont know why your post includes me Yankee. Anyway, COV thread is open so you can talk further about this issue. If you have any questions, please ask COV. He knows better. Bringing me in a situation like this is not the right thing. And you know what I mean because we talked via pm
I've gotten my share of disgruntled PMs from people. I've had my share of supportive PMs as well. I've received PMs stating they experience the very same thing I'm experiencing. But 5 minutes later, some of those people have completely done a 180 and gone public how they don't have problems.

Why? I have senses a "fear factor" in certain subjects. I KNOW I've raised enough hair and concern on the past and I KNOW some have witnessed this as one example and likely thought "I'm not bringing up my problem or I'll get the same look."

The supportive air has changed. Oh sure. There are some of the same supportive individuals. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I don't want to take away from the helpful posts and PMs I've received. But when someone PMs you after you raise a concern and says "easy. You're gonna cause waves" it draws against my helpful side. Waves?

Even a few pages back. A brass pin concern. I get the messages of "at least you have one". Or a suggestion on preorders "well because of you preorders are closed".

There are helpful corners. But the air is changing. And to be honest I'm hoping it's just because the whole preorder in the states has gone sideways. And why is that. I will say it again. COMMUNICATION! I have said this before, I say this now, and I'll say it in the future. If a company doesn't communicate, it will lose trust. Will it lose ALL customers? No. But if 50% of the customers leave sometimes a business cannot sustain itself on what's left.

There was a MAJOR problem in COMMUNICATION between Imeo, Bruce and the customers. Neither has even attempted to validate the customers who shelled out over $120 for one Penelope. And how many preordered more than one? They don't deserve to be frustrated because Bruce won't say more than "they are coming" or Imeo shuts down one thread at a time until they spill over into the Penelope support thread? THIS thread should be sharing support and excitement about Penelope. not frustration over customer service and "where's my money?" But it seems easier to hide behind the curtain than to address everyone and bring some assurance.

I'll leave now and go clear my inbox. I'm sure I'll get a few "amens" and a few "how dare yous" soon enough. The business model has to change. I'm sorry but it's true.

Guys, dont connect GG with sellers. GG is GG and sellers are sellers. If a seller wants to handle a situation in his own way, that doesnt mean that GG is responsible for that. I will try to solve the situation but there is no need to involve me or GG on this. I do my work, I try to make what you all need, I hear your suggestions and I am trying for my best.

Sellers have their own company and I have mine

Guys you all know what's going on, lets not kid ourselves. You know that it's not a case of delayed shipping from Imeo or stuck in customs or whatever other lame excuse I've read here.
Perhaps the people responsible for US GG pre-orders should consider that their first and foremost loyalty should lay with GG, the customers that trusted them and Imeo who has supported them. We all have ambitions for our future but not at the sake of other people. I'm really disappointed to see so many friends unhappy and rightfully complaining. You don't have to be a business guru to figure out that this can only spell "commercial suicide" to "whoever" is responsible.
I don't know what's going through their mind but perhaps it's time to come out, be truthful, apologize and pray that people can find the trust they lost

and i understand your anger !!

We are very lucky that Imeo is this near to us,talkes/writes , and tries to make it right for everyone.

if you like a brand you look for a store to buy it from. if the store makes mistakes, you can talk to them or leave and look for another.
but you don´t call the brand/manufacturer to talk to the store in you behalf ! What should a manufacturer do ?

In this case, like allway´s Imeo tried to manage, but it is Imeo´s good will and not the solution.

the solution is call your Seller, email him, ask him why he does not move...

and after that..

You Decide !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Capt. I think your point just aims at the heart of the problem. And I agree with you

Imeo. I know it's bad publicity to have GG items not get handled. My point here is just the fact that I don't believe shutting down the thread where someone is held accountable is the best move. And you re opening that thread now...I think this whole convo can go back there. This is your product. If they don't have their venting place, this is where they will come. And who's it look badly on. You are the face of the product. They need to step and answer. If they can't go off in the seller, who are they going to go off on. This thread?

GG users are forgiving. "I screwed up" goes a long way and tomorrow it's forgotten to many.

I HATE seeing a general support thread start to get all mucked up with rants about a vendor. This is a thread about the Penelope. Happiness about it, pics, assistance and comradere. Not a vendor. And yes. Any possible issues.

Thanks Imeo, I am a loyal GG user and I support you 100%. I personally have never had a problem with any of your products. The only problem I have had is with COV and there handling of mine and everyone else's pre order money for one of your products. I would have posted over on there forum but all GG talk has been banned over there so I think that unfortunately you end up taking the heat because here is where we do it. I stopped posting cause of all the crap I was taking over this for questioning where my penny was and calling out Bruce. I never got any help publicly other than a few good members, unfortunately this is your forum and I think that saying nothing wasn't really a good thing.

Okay back to the real reason this particular thread is open. Imeo any ideas when you're going to be doing the spare parts for Penelope V2?

I have to respectfully disagree Imeo. Your sellers normal everyday operation and way of doing business is their business, BUT, when your chosen seller does your customers wrong, you have to take ownership and rectify the situation. You can't separate yourself from your sellers. They represent you, and when they aren't representing you in a positive way, you have an obligation to correct it. Your customer's faith in their chosen seller is based solely on the fact that you have chosen them to be a GG representative.
It's a horrible thing what COV has done to you and your customers, and I'm sure it's very awkward for you, but it doesn't look good when you try and dismiss it as a sellers problem. Take ownership my friend, people will respect you for it. :)

So lets say that I agree with what you said and I have the obligation to correct it. How do you suggest that I can correct it? To tell you an excuse?
I did my best, asking you to go ask Bruce about this. He is the one that can give an answer. But if you have any other suggestion, I am listening.

I too dont like this situation and I know what I will do but I cant do it now. People have already paid and I want things go smooth

Imeo be sure were ever you put your items to sell we buy from there.
No worries a bout a such,this you should know.
Your customers here are because of you and no other.

And there is one seller that I'll gonna visit once I'm on vacation in Greece .
