I was in my middle teens during subfreezing weather when a clumsy guy tripped and fell off a ledge and fell into a creek. He thought it was a grand idea to grab a girl, out of selfish self-preservation, and drag her with him. Hypothermia time for me!
He even took the coat offered to me to hike back to a vehicle to get to town. Been hypodermic two times to the point of being hot. No biggie but that's why the whole Polar Bear thing freaks me out. You do get used to freezing temperatures. Eventually. I envy that you've you've been to the arctic. Ever seen the northern lights? They're near the top of my bucket list.

I lived in Switzerland for a winter. It was awesome, but they (boarding school) had no qualms about sending us out into a blizzard to go skiing. A kid about 50' in front of me was killed while crossing a road in the middle of the run. On the other hand, being somewhere so quite you can hear snowflakes land is unforgettable. Magical.You swim in 31 degree water and see what your member name is!
Yeah, that's pretty much the same response I get when I tell people where I go for vacation.
That was the first time I'd been to the Canadian Arctic, so I thought, how often am I going to get the chance to go swimming in the Arctic Ocean? It's not like I'd be popping by again next week, so I just had to go for it. Especially when one of the expedition guides said while he was chuckling, "Hey Larry, why don't you go for a swim!"
He was the same one who said with a big grin on his face, " Hey Lar, is that a new tent?" as he pointed across the river at a mama grizzly and her two cubs heading straight for my tent. Funny guy.

Can't remember, they advertise that on TV? I think they do. Wish they would be held accountable for the hell they've put people, and their survivors, through. There doesn't seem to be any end as to how despicable these "people" can be.

TuTu, Pfizer, the maker of Chantix, was slapped with a class action lawsuit which was settled in 2014 I believe. At one time the FDA was making noises about making them put TWO black boxes on it, but I haven't seen any more about it.......and it's still being sold and advertized on TV.

Hi Granny! I think it was last year (2015) they were going to having hearings on Chantix. Instead, Pfizer came in and said they’d done more studies or whatever and everything was hunky-dory with their poison pills and that was the end of it. Nothing changed. Then the CDC, or one of those, came out with a campaign encouraging smokers to use the death pills to quit.
