Cruising for articles to comment on this weekend, this old Toadies song "Push the Hand" kept playing in my head. It's about the music industry, but so many of the words rang true for me in this fight...

I might have signed the one for air conditioning, driving in the heat sucks, and air conditioned vehicles are actually more fuel efficient, when compared to driving with the windows down.

How they have more signatures than us when it probably directly effects at most a few thousand people... idk. Non-vapers aren't big on supporting something vape/smoke related, so much so that they may not even read it. As for vapers themselves, many are uninformed and/or apathetic. It's tough learning that the government really has no interest in protecting you. It was a bit of a hard pill to swallow for me, finding out just how little we matter, and the types of organizations actively working against us.

I got an e-mail from change.org this morning informing me of a petition I may want to sign. The petition to require UPS in Arizona to provide air conditioning for all their drivers. So far it has over 85,000 signatures! Really?

somebody had to have paid a nice little sum to get that one sent out to so many ( guessing it was so many based on the fact that we all got the same in the same circle). I received it as well and I did sign it. I decided to promote the (Lessifers) petition. I hesitated at first because it seemed like one of those things that could just be throwing money to the wind and I am a check to check life style. After seeing the UPS one at least I see that they do send them out via email, so who knows.

I thought change.org was for petitioning government for change, not private businesses. UPS and FedEx are not part of the government in any way shape or form, yet people are petitioning for them to add air conditioning to their fleet vehicles? I am not sure if they started with that aim, but it for just about anything you want supported. This is on their site....

Great ideas some of you have come up with! We're still inching along and I assume we will continue to do so until the deeming hits the headlines. It would have been nice if some of those that really can influence the masses had stepped up. The kitty tried but no one really noticed. Drawing up the bubble bath and if it's not at 18,050 by midnight...

I like the idea of printing up some flyers or cards and dropping them off at shops. None near me but in about a month we're off, briefly, for my parents' 75th wedding anniversary and will try to spread the word around and drop off some to vape shops.

For those wanting to print fliers or business cards, I have been thinking about that... and thinking about that loooonnnnnggggg url - for the printed stuff, what about a url shortener? Or maybe we should buy a domain and forward it (under $10/year depending where you buy it)? Something like vapingpetition (dot) com or something else short and easy to remember (and type!)

I think I'd still use the change.org one online, just because everyone recognizes the domain.
