I truly think we made a couple of people start thinking.... ;)
In the end, that's what I want. If I don't change your mind, at least be more aware of why you are making the decision you are making, and what kinds of effects it may have.
Signed, it now has 52.938. c'mon peeps

For me, this concept that vaping is not tobacco goes beyond the facts, it goes beyond the regulations, it speaks to the heart of how I think we could eventually win the public over to our side.

Decades of hate and fear are ingrained in the public perception of tobacco. Yes, it is also unfairly associated with smokeless tobacco, and as I've said before that is a related, but IMO separate fight, one that I support. vaping, in a common sense, easy to understand way is not tobacco. I've seen it work on a personal level, if you can get someone to see that, it chips away at all of the fear and prejudice they might have.

52,936!

You know, you would think the choir would be easier to convince sometimes. I swear, I'm going to get myself banned from the CASAA Facebook group one of these days.

They would have to ban both of us. It seems to be an uphill battle all around. I do take heart that sometimes, just sometimes, their minds start clicking and they Finally get it!

I have to keep fighting though. If we give up, who ends up winning ultimately?
Almost wish you guys would get banned, it would be the talk of the town. And then maybe more people would take note of the struggle vapers are up against.

David, found a harmonica player for your ally cat bands. :)

I don't know if I have it in me to act in the way I would really need to to get myself banned. I mean, it's there in my head, but unleashing that on the world is not something I see myself doing. I have to wonder though, why are some of these people even part of a vaping advocacy group? They seem to believe everything TC and the alphabet gang say about vaping.

As an early signer back on page 3, post #52, I have left it to the dedicated participants for keeping this thread on the first page. Despite my lack of contribution, I have followed this thread daily, making this the longest thread that I have read/viewed every single post on. I never imagined it going well past 50k signatures, so to that, I must say great job by all of you dedicated to contributing to its success! GREAT JOB!

And thanks for all the great pics! I've enjoyed them all and shared many!

If you can believe this...
She thought it was disgusting...

One of the few times in my life I didn't understand how I wound up with her.

Just seems that it needs more exposure. The more avenues pursued, the better the odds of at least a minor groundswell of an outbreak of sanity regarding vaping, imo.

We were fortunate here in WA this year. The initial anti-bills somehow morphed into what arguably can be seen as not bad (assuming you need to have any laws, this one's, well, not bad.) Annual license fees for businesses (I think that also applies to net/mail order...), bans local govt's and agencies from local laws and restrictions!

And NO new taxes to the consumer.

Many here in WA did mobilize and those efforts had to have had something to do with the transition of what were draconian.

Many hands makes the work light.

And keeping the feds out of it has to be a good thing. Smaller gov't, right?

Exactly, we need to mobilize vapers and we need to let non vapers know what we're about. Any way we can do that is good.

As for the WA bill, it's definitely not as bad as it could have been. I have a hard time calling it good, but the effort behind it considering what you all were facing, that is amazing.

Squeaky wheel, and all that.

It's not ideal, of course. But not onerous. Child-proof caps and label issues, that the industry is already doing / moving toward. Age limit of 18, same as tobacco here. Banned in schools, playgrounds and such.

Since politics is, they say, the art of compromise, yeah, amazing!

The one that doesn't sit well with me is "any place children may be present" as that would include parks, beaches, and whatnot. I can see myself getting a ticket in the future. I can't really drive long distances without vaping. It's not really that I need the nicotine, it's that I have a sleep disorder and am prone to highway hypnosis, so vaping(which replaced smoking) keeps me occupied and focused. When I did 26 hours of drive time with my daughter from OK to CA, there's no way I could have done that without vaping. I always have the windows down when I vape btw. Soon it will be illegal for me to vape in the car with my daughter here in CA.
