Come on, bone here, if you overfill the reservoir, does it seep the main body threads at all? Leakage? Gurgly? Come on, carlton, give it up.

:) I'll just echo what ronda and Optimo said on those fronts. No leaks or gurgling or really anything negative. I haven't found that twisting the top does much to the airflow. I also have been pulling the top off of it to fill it, rather than actually dripping into it. The cup/reservoir holds a nice amount of juice and I fill it up to the top every time. I also like that cleaning it is simple and quick. It's a nice and solid device. For less than $20, it's a must have for anyone who wants a rebuildable.

I'll have some adventures in rebuilding thoughts later...

I have been using mine since it arrived yesterday. I am not a fn of dripping, but I really like this atty. I put in about 15-20 drops and I am good for a while. I will probably order another one or two.

If you like it now wait until you put a good wick/coil in it. You'll be in love :)

I have rebuilt my Phoenix. I used a fairly thick wick, so I'm probably going to re-do it with a thinner one, but even as is, it's fantastic. The entire process took maybe 10 minutes. So, my verdict on this device is: I'm going to get two more.

Hahahahaha. Sa-weet. This is going to be a good time. I may get a few more myself. Not going to be able to play until Monday I think if all goes well with USPS. Bummer. Need another co-op to form for these things. Optimo?

Hey all, I have been reading a bunch of threads on rebuildable for a couple weeks and ordered a Phoenix variant, should be here next week.

I found a link sometime last week that had some pics of ss mesh wicks in a phoenix sitting vertical but I can't seem to find it again. Anybody know of such a pic?

Thanks!!

Well guess what arrived......The Bullet rebuildable atomizer!!! a slightly prettier Phoenix for thehouseofvapor.com

I am amazed at how small this thing actually is!! Thoughts:

Coil that came wrapped on it was very tightly wound as others have mentioned thus not allowing the greatest wicking. There was a lot of wire at the ends of the coil where they attach to the post as well. I started getting burning tastes within minutes (it's my first time with a rebuildable). I went ahead and made me a coil. Bam!! first coil works awesome on the first try!!! THANK YOU to everyone who posted a coil making how-to or suggestion, gave me the confidence to build a .....in coil right out of the gate.

So far so good, I suggest everyone try these out!!!

it did happen, proof:

Just got mine today from VB love, love, love it. I can now taste my juice again! Had been going about 2 weeks with no taste from my juice using various clearo's & cartomizer very frustrating. Load this up with factory coil and in vaping heaven. Only 1 problem after 6 hours wanted to change flavors so rinsed and dry burned & what happens factory coil pops all good thou had just recieved some kanthal and wick last friday so made my first coil in about 4 minutes installed and loaded up now back in heaven. Thanks to all for tips and tricks. 1 question tho coil from factory came installed with wick and coil on one side with both ends facing same way. New one I built I put it in diagonally with each coil end facing opposite have not noticed a difference and was wondering which way you install coil? Next up order more and try SS Wick I ordered with Phoenix

it seems to me that it wouldn't really matter too much if it were diagonal or not as long as you make sure of 2 things:

1. make sure that once you have made your coil that the ends of the coil are nice and close to the post. you don't want a lot of "uncoiled" wire running from the post to the end of the coil, this can create a "hot-spot" (no juice can wick to it) and it mokes for a weak spot on the wire (possibly why the stock one popped?)

2. make sure the finished coil isn't mounted to close to the plastic "post insulators" wouldn't want to melt and burn that bit.

To be clear/fair these are bits of info I have found from others suggestions around this forum. The first coil I ever made (tonight) is not diagonal but follows those tips and it hits like a dream, been on about n 8 hr chain vaping run ;)

good luck.

You can put the coil in there anyway you please as long as it's not close enough to the plastic on the posts to melt/burn them.

Got mine today and going strong on the provided coil/wick. Initial feelings are that I am gonna love this thing. I am surprised at what a strong TH it has. A juice I am very familiar with and have used on many different tanks, carts and resistences has a significantly stronger TH on the Pheonix.

Looking forward to building my own coils when this one goes out :)

Update:

Holy crap, just had to post this. I've been going 5 days strong on this thing and it is awesome. Went ahead and opened it back up to take a peek and see how the coil was doing and maybe go ahead and make another coil with one less turn in it to fine tune the resistance.

The coil looks fantastic!!! Started to gunk up a lil but nothing that couldn't be cleaned up. it looked so nice i figured I would just take a coil out of my first coil instead of making a new one. WOW, vapor increased and flavor shot waaay up. What a blast, I love being able to control atomizer output........now if that stinkin ProVari order will ship:headbang::toast:

I got mine from Mountain Oak Vapors and I am really impressed with it for the price. I have been using cartos and dripping attys for years but this thing is way better than dripping. I did not even know how to use it so I just fill it up with juice to the top of the well and vape it lol seems to work great out of the box..it reads 2.5 so I have my provari up to 5 and its working great. when the flavor starts to fade i just add more juice and it seems to swap juices good also. I bought one of the Phoenix clones and am wondering why they don't make them where when you put the top on and drip through it, it just falls right into the cup... when I first got it I dropped 10 drops into the drip tip...i think one drop made it and all the rest went on the sides!...got one or two good hits then it went dry... now I just pull out my aluminum drip tip (from CCV - great fit after a couple times off and on) and drop directly into the cup. maybe if the drip tip end was not flat, but came to a semi-pointed end it would fall right in. I say this all mostly for when driving etc... also, they should design these so that anything on the inner walls will drain right into the cup-not just go down to the threads... still love it though!!! :)

That's why I leave some wicks going up into the shell to wick any juice on the sides down to the coil. For the most part though I always remove my drip tip before refilling.
