and one last thing, do you need to dry burn before adding juice just to test, or do you want to burn off any crap before you use it?

I do it to test the coil and to ensure I burn off any unwanted material. You only want to pulse the power button though...you don't want the coil to glow a bright yellow....just a dim orange.

If you are still getting burnt taste with another new coil then the only explanation can only be 2 things. Either the coil is wraped too tight or you are using too much voltage with too low of a ohm coil...one or the other or both. You might want to go the 325 SS mesh route. It has the cleanest flavor out of any wick material and won't produce burnt flavor at all. Another option is cotton wick.

I am looking for somewhere to get SS mesh, looking for any stores I might be able to get it at instead of having to order it offline. I could grab some cheesecloth I think I read that people use.

Yeah...cheesecloth works too. Never tried it myself though so can't really comment on it.

Well it is working, not much flavor though, is it going to 'break in' and the flavor will get better as you use it?

Not sure if VB added their own wick and coils to their line, but this thing is working stellar without having mess with it one bit right out of the envelope. Ohmed out at 2.0 and running at 4.2v on my ProVari. Can't wait to try the mesh on it.

Remember to line up the air hole on the tube to the middle of the coil.
