Hey, Folks

I'm looking to upgrade my mod to something a bit higher end. While I love my Pico, the chip isn't that accurate and I'd like the added features a dna or similar high end chip offers. That said, I'm looking for something on the small side. Ideally 70+ watts of power, full TC suite, and able to hold a 25mm atty without overhang. I've been thinking about the lost vape Mirage, but something a bit shorter and stubbier would really be ideal (more the shape of the Pico). I appreciate your thoughts.

Asmodus Colossal meets all of your specifications. 80 watts, full range of TC plus Curve for kanthal, and fits 25mm atomizer. It's the smallest 80 watt mod on the market that I'm aware of, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as high end. I like mine, but I don't use TC or curve so I can't attest to that either.

Thanks, looks like an awesome mod but I require a bit more than 60 watts in TC mode.

Another vote for the JAC Vapour series B DNA75W. JAC Vapour Series-B DNA 75w

A single Samsung30Q 3000mah 15A battery lasts me all day at 30 watts in power mode. Excellent build quality. Very reputable manufacturer. I don't use TC but many owners (see above link) use it with the JAC. There is a 22mm (black) and a 25mm (sandstorm) version.

It's nice, but I'd stop short of awesome.

I've been thinking about the Lost Vape Mirage

Just so you know on the Mirage, if you run 20700 batteries you get a rattle because the tube is designed for 21700's so it's slightly too big. You can put an O ring around the battery or something to get rid of it, but that's an annoyance in and of itself. I don't know if it rattles with the 18650 adapter or not because I haven't tried it. I was actually pretty disappointed with the Mirage for that reason, and subjectively I don't like the DNA75c.

Have you considered upgrading the pico firmware to ArcticFox. .. give the mod DNA like functionality. And is free. Doesn't fix accuracy but does give enough adjustabilty to produce more controlled vape.

And the newer pico take a 25mm atty

I just got my Mirage yesterday, so not a lot of time with it. I've got a Sanyo 20700B in it (I typically run 35w or lower) and no rattle at all once I close the door. What type of 20700 are you using? I wonder if the Sanyo is a tad bit longer and holds in place better? I haven't tried the adapter yet either, but it looks like it fits snugly enough that there won't be any rattle with it.

The only thing I don't like about the Mirage so far is the plastic cover over the screen. Gives it a fish-eye look to the screen and looks kind of cheap. Rest of the mod looks very nice. So far no regrets though. I knew about the screen cover before I ordered mine.

An ijoy and an Efest. I didn't notice it at first. I was being animated while talking and heard it slide. Then I shook it and it rattles pretty good.
Ok, I don't normally shake my mod, lol. Normal use it hasn't been moving as far as I can tell. Battery door seems to hold it nice and snug. Just gave it a pretty good shake and seems solid for me.

I've got the Black Blaze model, which I think was released after the others. Maybe they made some changes around this?

Could be, or mine could just be defective too. Either way, it's not like those mods where the buttons rattle every time you move them, so I can live with it.

I concur on the Pico being in a class by itself. It just is. Arctic Fox firmware makes it much, much more customizable and adds to its versatility. I own six of them (eight counting Squeeze sqonkers).

I have a Smoant Battlestar Mini that's quite nice. It has a few minor cosmetic issues (a misspelling on the TC screens) but I've had it a couple of months now with no problems at all. It takes 24mm tanks with no overhang.

Full TC suite with a curve feature for non-TC wire materials. Great little mod.

I don't use my Pico all that often, but it truly is in a class by itself for what I use it for. So much so, that I have several backups so that I will have them for the foreseeable future. Mine gets carried more than it does used, but I always have it with me as a backup mod when I leave the house (topped with a Wasp Nano RDTA). And it's the PERFECT stealth vape for me whether I run the Wasp Nano on it, or even my Kanger Evods (which I still use for stealth MTL vaping).

I've also picked up a few of the squeezes for this reason. Incredible little mods for the money.

I bought a SMOK Alien 85, as a backup for my Pico and it ended up in the vape drawer. After using it a few days I found myself back on Fasttech ordering my backup Picos.
