PICTORIAL: *The URBA* ~A new RTA by Petar K

Mine arrived about 15 minutes ago and with a bit of trepidation I tried screwing it onto a SMPL clone (figuring if it got stuck it's a large piece to hold on to, and I won't hate mangling a $22 clone if necessary). Unsurprisingly it got stuck, but I forced it a bit and it's smoothed out the threads a little. Whilst it still has a slight sticking point, it threads properly onto each mod I've tried it with.

I'm assuming one of the small o rings is there to fit under the 510 isolator and allow the centre pin to actually protrude?

I was probably just lucky with the unit I received.

A 3mm coil is going to be a very tight squeeze in there, however. Having that central circular coil chamber a bit bigger would have been nice.

Have you seen the Science of Vaping Zenith yet? It looks like an Origen mated with an URBA and produced a dual coil hybrid.

@Kaoself - I've got me eye on The Zenith as well. Releases Friday. I'm curious about the price point will be but SOV hasn't said as of yet (at least not that I've seen)

I would be happy if others could post mods they've gotten it to work on. I'm not adverse to buying it another mod. Its a gorgeous atty and vaping quite nicely for me.

Two of my 5. The poldiac is set up in hybrid mode atm... Not sure I wanna mess with changing it over to see if it will fit. For some reason I pulled the top cap off and now I'm getting an error message. [emoji80]

I'm not sure how but the center post screw came loose just from me taking the cap off. Unfortunately to tighten it I had to recoil and re wick which means I wasted all the eliquid the wick was holding. So far when it has worked it has worked well.. Not sure what's going on with that center screw though (the one in the bottom of the build deck. Not the 510). Also, not sure if it's something I'm doing but I'm getting a lot of crackling when I vape. Loud like a dripper. 1.2 ohm 28awg coil running 13w or 3.9v

Did you get that long tube pushed up far enough for the center screw to go all the way in?

Apparently it has something to do with the pmma section, but it would need insulating to prevent shorts, so not sure how it works.

I've got it. It didn't occur to me that there would be nothing carrying the negative if the pmma tank is used. Use the large diameter tube and the two smallest o rings to isolate the positive post inside.

Why a separate detachable piece? Why not a negative connection as part of the 510 connection / deck like a Sat 22?
I'm guessing other gennies have a similar feature too, but I only have the Sat 22.

Vapes like a dream I was worried about nothing. I hope you can get ahold of Petar. Mine has a buttery smooth connection, it doesn't lock up. No problems whatsoever.

Now I'm not sure whether that is what the smallest o rings are for. They fit well around the 510 centre pin to extend it and I'm having so much trouble getting the second o ring to isolate between the positive and negative tubes.
But if they're not for the tubes, how do we isolate the positive when using the outer tube with the pmma section?

So I ended up putting a 2.5mm id, 6 wraps 28g spaced kanthal, around 1ohm build in just now. Was a little finicky, any attempt at a 3mm id was short city. The flavor blows my Lemo Drop away, I taste nuances of flavor from my Spicy Peach Mango (Open Source Vapor) that I've never tasted before. Will report back after a day of use. Using the steel tank, since I don't feel like messing with the pmma, and have to see about a glass section.

I'm using almost the same build: 2.5mm, 27g, 7 wraps, 1.06 ohm. Here I was thinking 3mm would be a better choice, but maybe something in between like 2.8mm would work.

I'm going to give Petar until tomorrow night. At that point though I'm inclined to file a PP dispute, but it may be too late. I have a feeling I'm past the 45 days (I'm going to check). If I can file, I will, and I'll wash it and send it back to him. Otherwise my only other choice is to use it on that crappy clone, and I don't want to Who wants to use a nice tank like this on a cheap, crummy FT clone? It won't even go on my authentic Stingray
