Welcome to ECF, Athar!

Loving this setup lately.

A $20 DNA40 Mod from Hana Mods with a Micro TFV4. Small with amazing flavor!

I'm a old fan of Hana, having purchased a couple of his first run off the line. It's been a long time for me though.

How are these little plastic ones? I'm intrigued, to say the least, and for @Katdarling , who is ALWAYS looking for the perfect purse-mod, there's something to be said for $16, 1.3 ounce beater.

Do they hold together well, or does the connection keep coming loose, etc.? I just might drop for a couple...

Yes they are the little plastic ones. So I picked up 2 of them, one green (first order), one black. The Green one definitely feels cheap very plasticy, the black one I picked up the second time feels much better in the hand, you can definitely tell it is plastic, but it has a nice rubberised paint on it that feels better. (The paint has already worn off under the addy). after about a month, it has held up very well. I treated this one the same as my solid mods and I have had no issues.
Positives -
  • DNA40 Board - awesome if you don't need to go over 40W (which is me )
  • Cheap ($20 for a DNA40 Mod)
  • Small - if it is more than 5mm taller than an 18650 or more than 10mm wider I would be very surprised
  • Connections are solid - no movement at all (after a month)
Negatives on this (keep in mind that it was $20 at the time I guess he has a $16 dollar one now)
  • It is not easy to swap out batteries. you have to pull the box off and then pry open the door to swap them out. The way it works, I have been worried about breaking the plastic door so I end up just using the onboard charger rather than swapping out batteries.
  • Said battery box has about 2mm of up and down movement (both of the boxes I own) but it does not interrupt the power to the mod
  • Has to be said - it is plastic, but its $20, just the board is worth more.
The green one I have has been regulated to the backup box and I will swap boards in this one if it ever fails on me.

Definitely worth the $20 it is a great little mod for the price.

One more negative that has kept me from ordering... $6 shipping cost which takes it from $20 to $26.

I got 3 of those mods in different colors and love em for pocket mods. They give a great TC vape, much better than my pico with the same tank/coil when I compared them. The battery compartment is a bit of a pain and I worry about breaking the tabs so I just leave the batteries in and use the usb charger on those mods.

Just a couple of quickie "setup" pics. First, the extraordinary (for me).

Billet Box Rev 4, black with Overtow Kirinite panels. Simple, but I like the look a lot.

And a "lineup" pic. Nothing crazy-expensive, just fun.

Two RX75's, each with SXK Nebula Wine tank and Pinnacle drip tips (by Lewis Gentry).
Two Provi v2.5's, one Ti and one Gunmetal ZenKote, each with KM3 "Fattie" (clones), and VERY expensive (NOT) colored glass from FT.

That's it! Just had a spot of time, and decided to have a spot of fun along with it. Hope it brings a smile along the way.

Happy Thursday, all. :)
