I've heard it's a pain to build. I was thinking about getting an authentic but I decided on something else.

The Raven's Moon is more work to build and maintain than what you get out of it. It does have a dripper mode for when you get tired of fussing with the RTA side of it.
Now, that dripper mode is it's most
shining useless feature, no juice well to speak of and bottom airflow...

I'd rather use an old dribble base Plume Veil.
If I dropped $300 on an authentic, I would have been seriously outraged. The clone is not manufactured anywhere near the quality of an authentic, but it operates exactly the same. The authentic has better machining, smooth threading, tighter tolerances and higher quality o-rings, which would not even begin to negate the inconvenient and stupid design of the build chamber.
I don't think the guy who designed it had any clue about the maintenance side of vaping...
On a more positive note...
What did you choose instead?
