The originals (Junior & regular) use the same threading though, and those are 100+ $ RTAs!

I believe just the plastic dome/cap/tank/whatever its called for those is around 35 bucks, sounds like a lot of money for something that fragile..

One thing I've noticed is price is not always indicative of the quality of the work. Still, it will also depend on the plastic used and how it's cast/molded/shaped that can determine wear characteristics. I guess I would expect an inexpensive clone to use a lower quality, and more affordable plastic in the build than the original, but these days it's hard to really know. Some of the clones out there appear to be built just as well as their authentic models.

I'm going to keep the Triade and part with the Therion on fleabay. I just can't get use to the size.

here is a comparison to another 2 18650 battery mod.

Well to be fair the 213 is very small. It looks like the Therion is about the same size as like a Hexohm or something like that. Not small by any means but I can see why you dont really like it.

True, I expect better quality if I pay more but too often that's not what you get.

In all fairness though, I didn't come across many complaints about the threads striping when looking in to the original nor the clone, so it might be ok if you're very careful.

And mine basically shattered in to 3 pieces but did not fail at the threads.

We'll see though, I still don't trust this construction but time shall tell, as always :)

I see a Sat22, and it looks like you're using Kepler Fins on the Radii. What are the other atties?

That first one you posted photos of the broken tank in another thread (or I'm doing remote viewing again), that was glass which cracked into 3 pieces which had the fine threading on the bottom, or was that one plastic which fractured as well?

That's plastic, or well, polycarbonate.

edit: I just noticed you missed the last pic I posted:

You're right on the money with the Sat22 and heat sinks. I've got Nahualons on the Radii and the fuschia Pico. Those get hot, hence the heat sinks. The copper Lon is tarnishing nicely, and matched the bronze finish on the white Radius. The black Lon is too shiny for the matte finish on the stealth Radius, but will have to do.

Only tank that ever cracked on me, never had glass break on me so far *knocks on wood*
Knock on wood indeed.

I recently dropped my Griff 22 and Tesla Nano 60w, whilst attached together. Luckily they both survived; It literally was knock on wood as I have timber flooring.

So the plastic fractured. Hopefully tank #2 will hold up well. There are several high end tanks in addition to the Hurricane that use plastic/fancy plastic for their tanks. Clearly you can make a more complicated geometry as well as design/frosting and whatnot. While I don't use tank cracking liquids like cinnamon, I will admit I tend to shy away from plastic. While theoretically more resilient than glass for things like shock, I just prefer glass as a nonreactive container, and easy enough to replace if broken (providing replacement glass is available, no different than for something with a PC/PMMA tank).

The tank has a solid reputation, and with the other tank safely mounted, I would just use it and hopefully enjoy it. Maybe order an extra replacement to have on hand, just as I normally do for all my glass tanks, even though to date I haven't had a breakage. But let's face it. Glass will sooner or later break. So long as it's a good vape, I'd move on and write it off to one of those things.

Yeah, just shattered to bits first time I put it together. I've send 3fvape a quick email about what happened, if they want to send me a replacement that's nice but if not no biggie.

I'm not sure if the spare one that I bought separately is meant to go with the SJMY clone I have or if it's made for one of the other two clones available, they didn't specify that. The original was clear & this one is frosted. But it fits perfectly so we're good again :)

I don't know if I use any plastic eating flavorings by the way, good that you mention it. I'll have to look in to that!

edit: well that was quick, I just got a email from 3fvape and they're sending me a new cap to replace the shattered one. Is that service or what?
