I've haven't had my boreas for long but during my initial build I used to get leaks after refilling too; however, using more cotton on the build deck has solved that issue. As for the little puddles around the AFC holes, I'm not quite sure how to solve it yet. juice also likes to pool around the base of the DT, for now at least.

Edit: And it's funny that mentioned your moonshot. I've had my moonshot since Friday and the bugger is like a scared little puppy - leaks all over my mod :) I'm playing around with it and hoping I can solve it by just using more cotton.

i'm going to rewick my Boreas here in a few. :) the moonshot i think i've got the wicking down and hasn't leaked on me with my last 3 rebuilds. *crosses fingers*. i've even left my moonshot on it's side with airflow wide open for over a day without a drop coming out. i have not had any liquid at the driptip of my Boreas yet. i have a friction fit dotmod clone on mine and it's super snug.

If you need a guide: Augvape and Roxy Boreas RTA

I'm still using the proprietary DT. Maybe a friction fit DT will solve that issue.

cool, i'll give that a try. i didn't put that much cotton in for sure. i thought it would mess up the airflow under the coils. but if it stops the leaks, it's a win for me! thanks!

that device looks similar to that little Pax Juul. have you seen that? Pax is known for their herbal vaporizer, but looks like they are trying to get into the ecig game. :)

Both are similar BUT -- Juul cartridges are just 0.7ml, while My.Von Erl holds 2ml. Besides, Juul has a smaller battery as well.

Ft. Vape-WKY
Newest arrival to Ft. Vape,,,,,
Vintage Calabash w/Meerschum Bowl & Churchwarden Stem converted by The Pipe Revolution of DFW Texas. Currently mated to TopTank Nano w/0.5 SSOCC loaded w/Mech Sauce Medussa Milk (12mg 80/20).

Calabash TT Nano 1.jpg

TT Nano w/SSOCC is fine but still searching for a proper & ftting buildable Mate. Of course, must be black and preferably smaller than 22mm dia. although 22 will work. Possibly stick with the Kanger TT just up it to a Mini w/RBA. Maybe a Kayfun Mini.

Is the serpent mini any good for MTL?
Not really and because how the wires are trapped you can't really use wire thinner than 27g... It's not ideal. The original Serpent tank is much more suited for MTL though..

I had success using the Serpent Mini for MTL. I used 26 ga. kanthal at 8 wraps and just made sure to trap the leads between the screws and wall and I use a more narrow driptip with the airflow turned down and it worked well for me.

Is the airflow hole under the coil smaller with the mini than the standard?

I couldn't MTL the standard because the air hole under the coil is so large, no matter how much I turned down the AFC.
