My first Doggystyle build. 24ga A1 Kanthal 7 wraps .64ohms Cotton Bacon v2. So I'm not in temp control mode on the iStick of course. Airflow wide open. Wide bore Molehill Mountain Art African Blackwood tip. Running 14.8W-15W and MTL right now as it settles in. May up the wattage a bit as we go along, but don't see going up a lot ... at this point.
I vape non-flavored 50/50 12mg, so have no factual comment but have seen reviews call this a kayfun K3 Killer. Dunno. Don't have a kayfun either. MTL vape is dense and plentiful ... wouldn't be shocked to find flavor is too.
What I like most esthetically, is the simplicity. Ton fewer parts than most RTAs and so easy to build on this single coil RTA.
EDIT: Too much popping at 14.8W-15W. Tried ... more cotton ... higher wattage ... didn't help ... realized there could be 10 things causing pop but the only thing I've tried that worked is to take the wattage down to JUST below where it pops and that spot seems to be 12.8W. Yeah, that's low down for a sub-ohm, but this is a MTL designed single coil sub-ohm and could be a little peculiar like that. Too much science maybe. But hey, it's working. Not the best vape in the house (yet) but there's strong competition up in here LOL

Some Hype in the Psyclone Kryten with a dual A1 setup at around .7 ohms on the Cadet unregulated series box cranking around 7.5V for a toasty 80 watts or thereabouts.
Marshmallow cereal donut with ice cream. What is this madness?
Also, I could use some recommendations for a good quality mechanical squonker with minimal voltage drop. I missed squonking somehow during my journey from MTL carto tanks to RDAs.

Still looking into mech squonkers so nothing to recommend just yet (i am in love with the Franken clone though) but I am curious what Voltage drop you see in the cadet... Mine seems to have risen over the last year. I haven't really tested with different batts and different resistances though. Which bottle are you using? Looks too soft to be stock.
It's a Cappy BFX silicone bottle. The first thing I did when I got the mod was switch out the bottle. For me the super soft bottle is a must and makes squonking thru that tiny opening in the Drone a breeze

They do ultem caps as well and I believe there's no surcharge for it over delrin. Unless you just hate the look, the threads would be more durable on the ultem caps, with the same benefits. Just IMO, FYI, BYOB, etc. etc.
