Jeff Beck may be the most underrated guitar player in history. He helped expand my musical tastes beyond just rock. First concert, 1975, Omni in ATL: Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, Aerosmith (yes, all in one concert- $5.50, general admission). Beck had just come out with Blow by Blow, and I remember some people after the concert saying something must've been wrong with his equipment or something. Guess they weren't expecting jazz, and didn't know what to make of it.

I was lucky enough to meet and work with Jeff Beck when I was a young studio assistant in London in the mid 80s. Very nice guy and effortlessly cool. Yes he did roll up to work in a corvett stingray.

Very, very nice. Could you tell us more about the setups? My kind of rigs, for sure.

The mods (no longer in production) are Poldiac Uma's made by MMV in Greece sporting V1 kayfun tanks with custom clear bell caps.

Love the rainbow Wasp Nano RTA. I have two now, and I love 'em. How are they treating you?

I've just got my first nano wasp and it's a powerful little beast depending on the coil you use,fantastic little squonk tank,better than the recurve in my opinion

Here's a question I've posed before. Is a clone still a clone if the original manufacturer never made the gear in the first place? Like my 24mm Haku Riviera, or my 26650 version of the Ameravape M-6. Here's a 22mm Goon RDTA. Clone or not clone?

It's sitting on a Petri-Lite 22mm. Absolutely wonderful mod, weighs less than 2 oz and has a voltage drop of around 100mV. Good stuff, and there are still a few around here and there.

I'd say no. A clone is a 1:1 copy of something so if the dimensions are different then it isn't a clone. I can see using the same names make blurry lines even blurrier though

I love them. Very easy to set up. I don’t get the flavor that a kelpie has, or a gear, but pretty good. And often they just look better with a mod. The color match is perfect with this MDX. Great little mod. Lovely smooth switch.

My best is a copper Tauren THC, which has a pretty stable voltage drop around 70mV.

I like the wasp RTA better than the RDA, but that one isn’t bad, either. It’s probably how I build - SS at around .3, usually- or the types of juice I vape, but I like the Recurve better, and the Bunker better than the Recurve.

My favorite is the RDTA. Kickass little RDTA. Easy to build and care for as well. Can't tell ya anything about flavor.

You know what's ultra-cool? This thread has been going for almost four years and has recently passed 15,000 posts. In the old days, threads were cut off when you got to 15,000 posts. Parts 1 and 2 were cut off, but Part 3 just keeps going.

My poorly oscilloscope, cant get y2 to work otherwise I'd be able to check the voltage drop on my mechs and tanks perfectly, time to get a scope me thinks

I can't consider that a clone. Even if the deck and top cap were cloned, which they weren't because the 22mm Goon has 3 hole airflow.

Looks great! I have that mod, too. I think I have a clear wasp... I’m gonna have to look.
