Kanthal Temp Control?? I did not know that was a thing
That was Hohm Techs claim to fame with their FSK chipset. It has presets for the regular TC wires such as Ni, SS, Ti and W (Tungsten). As well as an Advanced TC mode for Kanthal and Nichrome. There is even a xXx mode that allows you to tune the settings so you can TC any wire type installed such as Platinum etc.

It does work quite well with non TC wire but needs tweaking and fine tuning to keep running smoothly and it's far from dna simplicity. I still have this G2 and a Slice (100W 26650 version) left in my collection.

Hohm Tech got out of the mod business quite a few years ago but they still make LiIon cells, their VaporCube store was blowing out the G2 for $14.99 and the Slice for $9.99 near the end of it all. A long way from the $150 I paid back in the day. ;)

Here is a blast from the past review if you are interested. There is one where PBusardo couldn't get it to work at all so he brought Ben in from Hohm Tech for discussion in a follow up video, but that's 3 hours of Phil's yammering...

Obviously WAY past being in the market for anything, @Katdarling and I had been on a watch list for one mod that we figured was long past ever being created again. We were big fans of the Wismec Reauleaux (sp?) 75W, but they were made light karp, and you could literally squeeze them broken if you had strong hands. I broke mine, in fact. :(

Out of nowhere, these popped up a bit ago, priced 1/3 of their most recent retail (which we were not willing to spend). So, we jumped at 'em.

The Le Petite Box from Vapenaute (the ones on the right). Four thumbs up!

We're both THRILLED with the workmanship. SO different from the original plastic (Wismec) ones, it's not even funny. Same chip, VERY different body.

Nothing great but definitely fun, and WELL worth the sale price they were asking. I'm not sure I could be any more pleased with it.

The Z80s are new too, so we threw them into the pics just for fun.

I'm not sure there will be any more new mods in the future, so we like them that much more because of that (likely) fact.

Happy Saturday, all, and happy vapin' too! :vapor:

daniel can you show that mod next to any other ones you have. I’m trying to get the size and scale of it. It looks big in the photos. Is it heavy?

I'll grab an Ant soon and compare, I'll use a Duke II;) I will also pop it on the scales:)

Here's a comparison between a VA Duke II and one of my custom 3S mods for you:)
I'll let you get the dimensions of the Duke II yourself since you have so many of them:w00t:
    Weight: 310 grams. Size! Height- 11cm, Depth- 6cm, Width-3.5cm.
    image.jpg image.jpg
And here's is the dimensions of my new custom 21700, just so you can compare.
Weight without battery-205 grams. Height- 9.5cm, Depth- 5.5cm, Width- 3.6cm.
There both Very comfortable mods to hold:thumb:
Duke II Size! Height- 9.5cm, Depth- 5.2cm, Width- 2.9cm.

    Vicious;)

Thanks for doing that Daniel it really helps to compare the sizes for me. I’m picky about how I hold a mod based on size and weight.

That’s a beautiful Duke ll! Is it the DNA75c or the Yihi chip? I ONLY have two of them - one of each.

    Not a problem Sara:)
My Duke II is a DNA75c. I wouldn't mind getting a YiHi as well but I'm a bit caught up with these custom mods:w00t:

Has anyone ordered from Fasttech this week? 3 weeks ago they had instructions on how to use PayPal via a link sent by them. But these instructions aren’t there so…

I’ve been trying to use a credit card instead but my cards keep getting declined even though none are late or maxed out.

THis was because buying Gift Certificates to pay for the order and it was getting too complicated.

so I’m just curious if anyone else is having this problem. Thanks

The Shiny Thread would be the best place to ask this question:thumb:
