Just found this thread. The pictures are great! I’m too cheap to buy stabwood but love looking at the pictures. I’ve had this a while but really like it.

I'm interested in one of those for boating (they claim it's "water proof") have you tested this claim?? :glug:

I haven't. I think it would do ok but don't want to chance it. The aegis is waterproof and a lot less money if you lose it in the water. Also the new Oxva unibox is IP68. Mike Vapes washed it under a faucet and ran it over with a car and it survived.

Thanks, good info. I'm going to have to check out Mike's torture test.

I'm a pretty big fan of Lost Vapes products and especially their support with DNA devices. They've fixed two of my mods no-questions-asked, and one of them had a ton of use! I'd feel confident that they would cover a water breach. But, I didn't consider actually losing it in the water! Maybe I'll opt for something cheaper to send down to Davey's Locker

I know someone else that uses the Aegis Solo for boating. They’re cheap since the V2 is out and no big loss if you can’t find it in the water. I just got the Unibox for review. After I test the coils and the software tool then I’ll dunk it in the sink or something.
